We said Lockheed Martin Vectis™ was kind of a big deal. We meant it. 🦨 The Vectis™ full-scale model just made its #AFANational debut and let’s just say, photos don’t quite do it justice.

Weird but cool music and other stuff I’m watching on Tik-Tok on Saturday night midnight! 😂 That’s a TikTok from(MEZERG) titled “WET GEOMETRY with Arthur Dubois.” MEZERG is a French experimental musician known for weird, inventive controllers and visuals (he’s done pieces like “GEOMETRY” with TouchDesigner and even a “moustache theremin”). In this clip he’s performing with drummer Arthur Dubois. They’re using a drum filled with water plus hand-tracking / gesture control — hence “wet geometry.” What are you watching? Listening to? Creating?

🚨 For thousands of generations humans could only imagine sunsets on other worlds. Now we have a real one. This is an actual sunset captured on Mars. 🔴

In my understanding, by saying "there is no single self" Minsky is describing the brain fields and their interference as top-down, bottom-up, left-right and cross fields creating the single self in a workspace or sandbox.
MIT autumn 2011. At 84, Marvin Minsky explained a radical idea: there is no single “self” inside your head. He argued that the mind is a collection of countless small, imperfect processes working together. Intelligence isn’t one thing it’s what emerges when these “stupid” mechanisms interact. In his 13-lecture course, The Society of Mind, he explores consciousness, emotion, pain, creativity, and why we can literally be of two minds. Minsky co-founded the MIT AI Lab, won the Turing Award, and advised 2001: A Space Odyssey. The entire course is free: lectures, readings, assignments, and the book. 13 lectures that might completely change how you think about your own mind.6+
