static1.squarespace.com/stat… A very interesting report and statistics on secularity in America. @ingersoll_bob I think you might find it interesting to read.
If it's reasonable to call rocks atheist, then it's also reasonable to call rocks (at least solitary ones) a-social. I'm sure they are a-political as well. Using this as an argument against the 'lack X' definition of atheism is poor, we have a ton of 'lack X' words. It's not new.
The new definition of atheism that most atheists accept is the lack of belief in gods. It is what it is. And, yes, that means a rock is an atheist.

If they are always going to choose NOT to go with the religion if given the ability to choose, what does that say about the truth of the religion? This meme is basically an argument for secularism.

I wonder if theists who say that atheism is a religion would still say that if we wanted to start a church and get tax exemptions.

1. My position as an atheist is not 'there is no God', but rather that I am not convinced there is a God. 2. Even if this were the case, faith alone wouldn't constitute a religion. 3. Atheism is no more a religion than 'not-collecting stamps' is a hobby.
In the absence of proof we have only faith. Atheist can you prove there is no God? No, but you have faith. Atheism is a religion.

For most in the west like myself, while we go through our own valid struggle when leaving religion, we are at least fortunate to not have to worry that our life is in danger for doing so. My thoughts are with those who do. #ApostasyDay
Why do you continuously and consistently misrepresent atheism? I do not often accuse people of lying, but at this point it seems you must be. Pretty sure your book says something against that.
Probably the worst version of Christianity to propose. Not only does it create a huge barrier between us as individuals (due to this view forcing them to believe that atheists are lying) but it also allows me as an atheist to know that the Bible is false under this view.

Seeing the comments from some Muslims on here supporting this is disgusting.
My heart is broken for #Alireza - beheaded in Iran by his own brother for being gay. He was attempting to seek asylum in Turkey with his boyfriend. Only TWENTY years old. Imagine what his life would have been had he escaped? 😔💔 #AlirezaIsMyFamily #علیرضا_فاضلی_منفرد @6rangiran

Imagine seeing that someone has been beheaded by their own brother for being gay and having the fucking audacity to decide that the relevant opinion to weigh in on the situation is that 'He chose to be gay'.

Incorrect, once again you strawman atheists. If you want a positive belief, I'll happily give you one: I believe that it is unreasonable to believe that God exists, and I like to tell people why. That tells you nothing about whether I believe God isn't real, or just lack belief.
Skeptics who hold to dogmatic beliefs about God not existing as opposed to simply lacking belief in God give away those beliefs by excessively commenting on posts about God.
Sorry a Bible OR Quran? 🤔
Get a Bible or Quran and read. You will know a lot about God. Thereafter, you will also begin to get convincing results.
This is completely incorrect, and the only thing you're going to achieve is to misrepresent the positions of atheists. 'Asocial' in one definition is 'a lack of social interaction'. Rocks aren't asocial, therefore asocial is a truth claim? See how your logic doesn't hold up.
Does Atheism make a truth claim or is it simply a lack of belief? If it is simply a lack of belief in God, then rocks, lakes...the greenish-grey thing in your fridge...are atheists. But they are not, so Atheism is a truth claim. The claim that God does not exist. #Atheism

(Some) Theists: “X doesn’t occur naturally, it needed humans to design it. Therefore God designed everything” Also (Some) Theists: “X only occurs naturally, humans haven’t been able to recreate it, Therefore God did it.”

Let me know when you figure out the exact probability of ‘a god did it’ and maybe the fine tuning argument would be worth discussing.
If you're an atheist, but haven't heard about fine tuning, and are ready for debate, then you're about to be shut out.

And if there is no afterlife, it's everything. It's all of existence, at least yours and mine. It's the sum total of all the experiences that you'll ever have. What's more important than that?
Yes. Do the math. Any finite amount divided by infinity is zero. A 70~80 year life is nothing, unless there is an afterlife.

It's genuinely terrifying to imagine living in a country that does this. End Blasphemy Laws. #ReleaseZaraKay

Atheism doesn't attempt to explain these things. Theism may, but is unable to demonstrate it's truth.
Atheism fails to explain why the universe exists, how it began to exist, its inherent design and teleology, objective morality, miracles throughout history, and the nuances of lived life, free will, consciousness, and common sense. Atheism is absurd.
