Nas was ordered to pay his ex-wife Kelis $51,101 a month in 2009. By 2018 she was getting $8,000, and she went back to court for more.
She says she came home with a 3-month-old baby to a foreclosure notice on the door. When she called him about it, she says his answer was "go f*** yourself."
She filed for divorce in April 2009, seven months pregnant with their son Knight. The divorce was final in May 2010.
The court record:
$44,000 a month in temporary support was ordered in July 2009, a day after Knight was born.
$20,000 was what his lawyer offered as a one-time payment instead. The judge said no.
$51,101 a month was the December 2009 order: $40,454 spousal support and $10,647 child support.
$2.5 million was what he testified he owed the IRS in back taxes.
$8,000 a month in child support was the order once spousal support ended.
February 2018: she filed to raise it, saying his income "would support a child support order in excess of $8,000 per month."
March 2018: they settled on joint custody.
Do the math. $51,101 a month is $613,212 a year. $8,000 a month is $96,000 a year. That is 84% less.
Her claim: she always put the money down on their properties and he paid the mortgage. Then, she says, he stopped paying while she was in New York having the baby.
The case for Kelis: "His needs and expenditures have materially changed since the Judgment has been entered." She also asked for half of school, child care and health costs.
The case for Nas: "Didn't want to bring up money but since that's the fuel behind all of this," he wrote. "I paid for your cooking school cordon blue. The expensive yellow stove we had flown in from Europe. I helped pay for the remodeling of your house."
In the video below, listen for what she says about ever asking him for money: "I have never, ever, ever asked that man for a penny."
If you were her, would you have gone back to court for more than $8,000 a month?

#LAMH and Carlos love playing in our faces like he wasnt the one to insinuate that Destiny was previously fired. Dont try to act like today she is a star and has the I and the T. She doesnt. 🙄
#LAMH This Destiny being Martell childhood friend is tired. “Knowing” someone from high school ≠ friends. And they aint even go to the same school. Destiny opportunist ass came back around cause she wanted to be on this show. Or get her own show.

In 2011, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s wife discovered he had fathered a child with their housekeeper. The couple had been married for 25 years.
In the video report below, the story behind the breakup unfolds. Schwarzenegger later called the affair “the stupidest thing” he had done in the relationship.
The boy was born in 1997. Schwarzenegger kept the truth hidden while building a Hollywood career and serving as governor of California.
When Maria Shriver learned the truth, she moved out. Their separation became public, ending one of Hollywood’s most prominent marriages.
During a 2012 interview with 60 Minutes, Schwarzenegger was asked whether he had lied to his wife. "You can say that," he replied.
He later described the affair as "the stupidest thing I’ve done in the whole relationship." A secret he had kept for years ended a marriage that had lasted a quarter of a century.
Can a marriage survive a secret like that, even after 25 years together?

The way Karen shades Robyn with such EASE is criminally underrated! Andy asked that woman to name FIVE nice things about Robyn, and by the time she finished, I wasn’t even sure Robyn had received a compliment! LMAO! Technically, they were improvements, but Karen managed to turn constructive criticism into a full-blown READ! She ate Robyn up and somehow made it sound like she was being supportive. THAT is a skill that should be studied! #RHOP

Gizelle definitely has it easy on RHOP. Phaedra wouldve read her daddy’s old and new will on camera with the step mama #RHOA
Gizelle should consider herself blessed to be on a franchise with women who don’t get into her personal business like they should. NeNe, Porsha, and Kenya wouldn’t have allowed her to go 10 years without disclosing her personal life, while she continued to pry in theirs #RHOP
