My department can be restructured to reduce headcount, especially when funding is limited. But AI cannot totally take my job
Make AI go Maiduguri go convince stakeholders the importance of education, or go to a community and mobilise support to revamp a PHC.
15 years on work permit that is new
Almost 15 years in Canada. The work permit has expired, savings are nearly gone, and somebody is asking whether to return to Lagos.
Before you say “just come home”, where exactly are they coming to?
This Nigerian wrote that they arrived in Canada at 15. They say they haven't been able to work since their permit expired last year. A friend is housing them while they study French and hope to continue pursuing permanent residence.
They are considering Lagos and perhaps starting a business. But they also say they have no family there on good terms with them. In Canada, they at least have that friend, a church community and a few real friends.
So returning is not automatically moving back into a ready-made support system.
I won't prescribe an immigration route from a short post. I also won't sell “start a business” to someone whose savings are almost finished as if customers will meet them at Murtala Muhammed.
If going home is the better option, let it be because there is somewhere to land. The word home alone cannot provide accommodation.
It depends on your budget. Most NZ schools require a year’s tuition upfront, while Canada requires proof of funds and a credible plan for subsequent years. Australia may be an option, Australia has also recently restricted international students from bringing family members.
Who knows how to secure an invitation to the World Education Forum in London next year without going through SUBEB or formal partnerships?

I’ve tasted life using generator, and I’ve tasted life using solar. I highly recommend leaving Nigeria.

If I avoided members of my extended family for good reasons when I'm alive - then they resurface at my passing, harassing my wife and children.
I don't know what happens in afterlife but I will rent cutlass.
I will find you since you like me that much.
I just came across a campaign from one of the places I used to work and had to check who the current Communications Director was. The campaign was so good that I knew it couldn’t have been run by the director I knew.

By the way applying for a Nigerian Visa - you need more documents than you need for the UK, US, Schengen.
And the process is longer. You even need the passport of the inviter.
A colleague is applying because someone decided to host a conference in Nigeria that he has to attend.

Leave whatever you are doing NOW.
GO and WRITE YOUR WILL
In order to avoid this nonsense you’re seeing after the sudden death of young, aspiring, talented Nigerians.
Ensure you include ALL details, up to what to wear during the burial and what they should eat. Fill it out and get it signed with a lawyer or Notary Public.
Do it today. Your family shouldn’t have to guess.

With that amount, she will relocate to 🇨🇦and do it all by herself (if she's wondering that option)

Since TS Academy refused to hire me to make their Idea a blast, I will give them a business model FOR FREE.
Yes, I am that generous!
Do we all know the popular Candy Crush Game?
That game generates about 3 million dollars daily.
Not from advertising o.
But from players who spend real money on:
Extra moves when they're about to lose a level.
Boosters to complete difficult levels.
Extra lives to continue playing.
And Special offers and bundles.
Candy Crush allows you to get very addicted to the game before they roll out their offers.
You might not see this till you get to level 1,000.
By then, they know you are in for something.
But how did it start?
They spend heavily to advertise a free game.
But what happens if they advertised a free game but requested a reg token?
Let's say you are not familiar with Candy Crush; I will give another scenario:
I attended a government secondary school.
Free education.
Free, abi?
But each term, we had to pay an examination levy.
And paid for our desks and chairs.
And other things.
Still Free Education.
And nobody protested.
It might be a bad game for TS Academy in the long run, unless they rebrand.
Because everyone is now seeing desperation.
And in the future, people may see that name as a forbidden area.
What they have come up with is a good initiative.
But they have to understand that everyone is not their audience.
And if they are targeting everyone as their audience.
Only 3% of the people you are advertising to, right now, want to learn tech.
17% are observing to see how real your scheme is.
20% are in the problem-aware stage.
And 60% of your audience don't even know what they will do with their life yet.
Since you want all of them in, let them come in na.
For free...
If you can bear the cost.
Give them free access.
Then structure a highly hypnotic curriculum.
Take them deep into the course.
Sweat out, and give them real value.
Fire them with good stuff.
And when they are enjoying the ride...
Grab them by the throat.
Introduce a tool, and tell them they need it for the next stages of the course.
The fear of missing out will creep in.
Sebi you are into Tech. So, structure this.
By then, many people would feel so stupid not to swipe their cards.
Because they have seen the value.
Again, when they graduate, request certification fee.
Would they not pay?
Are you not seeing Coursera?
But jumping from one influencer to another only shows that they are desperate for everyone's N26k.
We are humans.
And there are things we naturally resist.
And do you know the beauty of this model I have given you people for free?
The entire Nigeria will sign up.
Wishing you success!
