Just an incredible 60+ mile journey that I look forward to never doing again! In all, I’m happy to be the vehicle that ignited so many contributions and donations to such a fun cause.
UConn basketball has always held a special place in my heart and played such a meaningful role in my childhood. The memories and experiences I gained growing up are ones I’ll cherish forever. I’m beyond excited to help give these children and their families that same opportunity to experience the magic of UConn basketball and create memories that will last a lifetime.
In total this year I helped raised over $14,000 for the Husky Ticket Project and thanks for a private donation from Greg Ellis that number now exceeds an incredible $19,000!
To include my first walk, just about 7 months ago, I’ve helped raise just over $33,500 this year!
I am beyond proud of this accomplishment and with tears in my eyes I truly want to thank everyone who liked, shared, and supported this mission. It takes a village, and this UConn community is undeniably the most passionate in college basketball.

Before the season kicks off want to take a moment and appreciate what @hblethh__ has done. Think back to your first UConn game and what that memory means to you. At least $17k raised to give kids that experience. Not sure words do it justice. Thank you on behalf of those kids 🙏

I want to share a story from one of our partners that were able to attend the @UConnWBB over the weekend.
We were able to provide a number of tickets to one of our longtime partners, TEEG, who “provide a "hand up" to individuals and families through programs for food security, youth development, senior support, and community engagement in Northeast Connecticut.”
Among those in attendance was a mother and her two children. The mother is going through radiation treatment for breast cancer. TEEG shared photos of the family and how happy they looked in that moment at @Peoplesbnkarena. To give them an experience together during such a hard time in their lives, is truly why we do this.
@UConnHuskies are so much more than sports. Together, we can help build the next generation of UConn fans. 💙

I hope the President — and Congress — come to see this clearly:
AmeriCorps is a national treasure.
It’s worth defending.
It’s worth growing.
And it’s absolutely worth saving.
