Since no one wants to say it, I’m going to. Caitlin Clark is treated the way she is by the people who cover the WNBA because she is a STRAIGHT WHITE WOMAN who is incredibly good at a sport dominated by another demographic. For someone to arguably have the best individual season a Point Guard has EVER had, in really just her second season, averaging 22.3 PPG 8.3 APG 4 RPG - NEVER been done, ever. And finishing 4th in MVP voting receiving 5 less 1st place votes than a rookie Olivia Miles. It truly makes you wonder.. This standard that Caitlin is held to LITERALLY applies to no one else, she’s critiqued and criticized against an imaginary bar. When she accomplishes the impossible, they simply redefine what's possible. The Caitlin Clark documentary is going to go CRAZY when her career is over and it finally drops, I can’t wait.

Caitlin Clark is the best player and talent to EVER come through the WNBA and it’s actually not even debatable. She is the ONLY player in the entire league who, when compared to another player, has an NBA player used as the comparison. The W has NEVER had a player with the game and likes of Caitlin, you can’t draw comparisons from there.. The only place you draw from is the BETTER, MORE SKILLED league such as the NBA, ironic. Trae Young is the new comparison, last time I checked Trae Young wasn’t surpassing NBA records that have stood since the league’s inception just 2 years into his career. Making All-NBA First teams every year, stuff like that. But again, when you have to jump to an ENTIRELY different league for a comparison that should tell you everything you need to know. Caitlin is bigger than the WNBA, literally. The absolute best the league has to offer. Is Caitlin Clark already the face of the W?
