Apparently one UK company made roughly £14.3 million per day or about £600000 an hour over the last 3 years after paying tax.

Clement Attlee founded the NHS, built record numbers of council houses, nationalised Housing, Power, Rail, Energy, Steel, Fossil Fuel and employed more than 2m people in 5 years all with the greatest debt the UK had ever had. And the economy boomed and debt fell.

Yusuf isn’t an MP but is treated like one on this programme - I’ve never known anything like it! Genuine question - can anyone in their lifetime, remember any political party with 8 seats in parliament being given the media/airtime that these grifters are given? #BBCQT

Spot on from Darren Jones, Labour MP for Bristol North West. 76% of us want to see Royal Mail in public hands. Privatised Royal Mail is a dismal failure. Stamp prices go up while reliability goes down. And now they want to cut 2,500 backroom jobs by the end of next year. TAKE IT BACK.

Due to the Iran War Fossil Fuel companies are making £1bn more profit every month in the UK alone. This could and should have been subjected to a windfall tax, but it wasn't.

Very enjoyable evening in Warwick with an audience clearly supporting the idea that Brexit was a disaster and net zero is the only way to go. Nice of @libdemdaisy to be there on her birthday! We all drank to her health afterwards apart from @ZiaYusufUK who legged it with his status symbol bodyguard. Fascinating to see how he did not make a single positive argument for Brexit. They never do. He has lovely shoes though, but a very weak handshake which is never a good sign in anyone.
Tonight, Question Time is in Warwick Joining Fiona on the panel are Emma Reynolds, James Cartlidge, Daisy Cooper, Zia Yusuf, and Alastair Campbell Watch at 9pm on @BBCiPlayer, @BBCSounds & the @BBCNews channel, 10.40pm on @BBCOne #bbcqt

Water companies produce the worst set of pollution records ever. I have distinct recollection of sitting in a school gymnasium in 2022 listening to the then newly appointed chairman of the @EnvAgency Alan Lovell, arrogantly and boastfully telling everyone how he was going to fix the water industry. How's that one working out Alan? telegraph.co.uk/business/202…

Set Corporation Tax to 50%, allow no ways to dodge it, and make the payments free from any more tax. Generate £250bn a year, which will fund EVERYTHING. And stop foreign billionaires plundering the UK.
Profits are at record levels Set to hit £700bn a year just 13.5% tax is paid on these record sums and more than 80% leaves the UK and no more tax is paid and it's not spent or invested Which causes massive poverty and high taxes for you But no one is blamed it's just 'painful'

Talking about a council removing all dog poo bins Zahawi asks, "What does it go back to?" It goes back to the Tories cutting council funding by almost 60% between 2010-2020 And maybe it goes back to people like you 'accidentally' paying millions less in tax than you should have

Today, we delivered a petition signed by over 27,000 people, calling on Andy Burnham to block the Thames Water bailout. Burnham promised to end Thatcher's legacy of privatisation. How can we take this promise seriously if we leave our most essential resources in the hands of US hedge funds? Let Thames go bust and bring it into public hands.

Andy Burnham, "She said it was a mistake for the Conservative party to leave the European Union before we had a plan for growth outside the EU" "She may as well have said that it was a mistake to leave the EU without a plan in place to control migration" "Because that is what led to the Boris wave, in the government she was in" "Where migration in this country changed, away from revolving door migration (with the EU), towards long term settlement" "Let's have humility from the Conservative benches who left low growth and migration our of control" Kemi Badenoch, "I stand by my words. Where we make mistakes I own up to them" Badenoch then claims that Burnham doesn't respect Labours own Brexit red lines, even though he's already said that he isn't changing them during this parliament. Burnham then picks up on her claim where she says she admits to making mistakes observing that twice on BBC London she was asked whether Brexit was good or bad for the economy, and she refused to answer. Badenoch then says yes, to Brexit being good for the economy. The Conservatives spent years promising Brexit would boost the economy. Now, when asked if it actually did, their leader needed a shove to say yes. They left the country with weaker growth and a mess of their own making. The lectures can wait.
