100% true. If you aren't happy, or even in content while doing the most mundane stuff out of your routine, then you are operating from a very poor set of beliefs. Life is not something 2 hours movie where every other moment is a highlight. Where you are travelling, partying, being caught up in some action etc. Those things are extremely, extremely small part of it. If you can't be at peace with your day to day living, you won't be at peace even if you travel to your favourite destinations. The pop culture and social media has brainwashed everyone into thinking that everyday life is boring.
Learn to love the interruptions. Find the fun in the delay, the humor in the challenge, the pleasure in the daily commute. A great deal of life is spent dealing with interruptions and waiting for the conditions to turn. We think, "If I can just get past this, then things will open up." But the interruption is not standing between you and your life. It is your life. Yes, I prefer hassle-free days too. But you'll rarely find a situation that is all bad. There are little pockets of joy folded inside the annoyances we face. There is always fun to be had, if you go looking for it. This is one of the arts of living. It's the art of enjoying the imperfect days. It's the art of making all the moments count.

If you are young, confident and moving through the world with energy you have a genuine obligation to use it well. Tell her she looks beautiful. Tell him his jacket is cold. Make people feel seen just by being in the same room as you. That kind of warmth costs you nothing but it stays with people longer than you realize. Confidence was never meant to be hoarded. The best version of it is the kind you spend generously on everyone around you.

Underrated cheat code: Believing you are the outlier, that you can do things others cannot do... ... and then working relentlessly to make it the truth.

We see people not as they are, but as they appear to us. And these appearances are usually misleading.

Worst thing you can do in your twenties is play house. Ride a bunch of dead ends just because it’s comfortable. Apartment, dog, gf you don’t plan on marrying. Low mobility career while optimizing for the weekends. You’re sabotaging yourself and future you will hate you for it. Break the chain. Accept that it’s going to be messy and uncomfortable. Do whatever you need to do to get that momentum back. Stop. Playing. House.

“Is it so bad, then, to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh. To be great is to be misunderstood.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson, Self Reliance

The next time you’re feeling down, remember it's all about perspective. I got a friend who reads 2-3 books a week, works out twice a day, has no financial worries, & has people who want to have sex with him all the time & yet he constantly complains about how much he hates prison
