Auston Matthews on Easton Cowan taking the blame for the loss:
“We win as a team and lose as a team. It’s not on one individual guy. I took 2 penalties with less than 10 minutes to go when we’re trying to tie up the game.
“There’s a number of factors that go into losses and wins. We stick together as a team. It’s all 20 guys that were on the ice, and we’ve got to be better in different areas. But it’s definitely not on one guy.”

Easton Cowan takes responsibility for the Leafs’ loss, blaming his “dumb penalty” and turnovers that led to 2 goals, but vows to be better
“Dumb penalty by me. Those 2 goals are on me. I cost us the game, and I gotta be better... Salfish of me to take that dumb penalty. Can’t have that. Gotta be better and control my emotions better.”

Sergei Bobrovsky on his game against the Flames:
“I thought I played a good, solid game. He made a couple of good shots, and I could’ve been positioned a bit sharper, but we had a chance to win.
“I don’t think we have to be frustrated. We have a good group of guys here. We just have to regroup, recover, and get ready for the next game.”
