Shorter her: Yes, I said some insane and fascist crap about Republicans but them complaining about it is the real problem.

This should’ve been obvious to anyone with basic critical thinking skills. If you make steel more expensive, then American manufacturers will also have to raise prices.
I don’t understand how anyone can defend the tariffs at this point. It just looks silly.
Trump’s tariffs raised prices on more than imports. New York Fed researchers found they also pushed up the cost of American-made goods.

This gets to the heart of the issue: Donald Trump still thinks he can deal with the Iranian regime. Every US leader for decades believed this & they've all been wrong. Trump changed that, but he can't escape the fantasy of a deal.
If we choose to lose this war, this will be how.

Meanwhile, for those of you who think that even Kamala Harris would have handled foreign policy any better or less worse than the idiots who are handling it now, see below. We would be seeing the same or worse unmitigated foreign policy disasters, just of a different type.
🤮 KAMALA HARRIS: BIDEN ADMINISTRATION SHOULD HAVE ACTED “SOONER AND MORE FORCEFULLY” AGAINST ISRAEL
Speaking in Seoul, former Vice President Kamala Harris criticized both the Trump administration and her own Biden-Harris administration over Israel’s war in Gaza.
“Most recently, the failure to use our leverage to curtail the Israeli government's horrific conduct in the war in Gaza, both under the current administration, which offers Netanyahu a blank check, and our administration before, where we should have acted sooner and more forcefully.”
Harris said the United States has a “moral obligation to human rights and international law” and should use its leverage over allies accordingly.

That is often what happens. Domestic steel got more expensive when we put tariffs on foreign steel.

One of the reasons that American (federal) politics has been as it has for the last two decades is that the losers haven’t known why they lost and the winners haven’t known why they won. Harris and Trump are no exceptions to that rule.
Tim Walz says the Harris campaign chased the wrong voters — Dick Cheney Republicans: (Lever)
“It’s pretty hard to deny that one of our base was fractured — the American Jewish community and the Muslim community, over Gaza and the intolerable assault. In retrospect, we should have spent time there — not courting a nebulous group of Wyoming Republicans who weren’t going to vote for us.”
He is arguing the Cheney swing was a dead end — and the split over Gaza was the real problem.
The rest of the postmortem is just as blunt. Harris never broke from Biden — the DNC autopsy said the White House never positioned her to run her own race. Walz’s early “they’re weird” line got benched for a big tent with Cheney, Bernie, and Taylor Swift. And the party’s own report skipped Gaza and Biden’s age — the two fights that actually split the ticket.Did they lose the base trying to rent Liz Cheney’s?

Donald Trump's second term will be considered a failure by future historians. His ridiculous embrace of tariffs, and the ensuing inflation they caused will be his unfortunate legacy. He is an idiot, and his second term has exposed the extent of his stubborn ignorance.
Trump is just so bad at international economic issues, and his ignorance keeps making everything more expensive than it should be.
Second term failure- achieved.
