1/My Baxi Platinum boiler was installed in April 2019 as the previous Baxi boiler kept developing a leak. Mine’s leaking too, for the third time in under six years. I rang to report the problem but was told that Baxi boilers have a 10 year warranty if registered by the installer
2/but only 5 years if registered by the homeowner. Despite being installed under warranty, the installer (working on behalf of Baxi) didn’t register the boiler so its warranty has now expired, and Baxi have quoted me £453 for the repair, or an ongoing ‘repair and care’ option
3/which works out at £444 a year on an ongoing basis.
You may wish to consider this if you’re shopping for a new boiler! @baxiboilers
