Awhile back I posted a whole thread of defense-related news sources before this war started about how Iran could reach Europe and soon the US with ICBMs. (One of the sources indicated that in January they had a successful long-range test with Russia.) Mainstream media chose to ignore this, which in turn made it seem as if Trump arbitrarily got himself in this mess. (Or that he did it only as a favor to Israel.) Also to minimal reporting, Trump flagged Iran's capacity to hit Europe and "very soon the US" early in the so-called excursion. Setting that aside, it is correct that Trump was anti-war — but he had one red line, verifiable in comments going back decades: "Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon". The colossal mistake, as I see it, is that Iran's top leadership was largely killed off almost immediately. Who did that leave them to negotiate with and does the IRGC follow their orders? It's unclear if the people who say they are in charge really are. They keep entering peace deals they don't keep — or maybe can't keep because the military no longer answers to any central command. The Trump admin also apparently thought the Iranian people, in a communications blackout, would retake their country. But many of those who would have "liberated" Iran died before this war protesting the regime, whole those who remain saw a girl's school bombed and probably became deeply ambivalent if not compelled by the attacks to rally around "the devil they know" (what's left of the regime). As to whether Tulsi said the nuclear program ended in 2003, that would be consistent with "Obama's nuclear deal was a success". However, Trump has consistently portrayed the nuclear deal as a complete failure. He withdrew from the nuclear deal, regardless, so Iran probably was attempting to test ICBMs to deliver nuclear payloads. If the #IranWar had worked out, not only would regime change have been possible but it could have also served to checkmate China by putting the US in charge of most of the alternate sources of oil (Venezuela/Iran). Dominating oil supplies would have forced China to play nice on Taiwan, a potential "two for one" win. A successful outcome to the war could even go so far as to spare the petrodollar from being killed off by the BRICS countries. (Relevant because if we lose world reserve currency status we will collapse like the USSR as our currency becomes worthless with no way to finance $40T in debt. Relevant also because the inflation we have seen over the past 5+ years will be nothing compared to the inflation that will occur if our bond markets collapse.) Trump had an "all of the above" reason to do what he did from a strategic perspective — but how to pull it off was botched since Day One. (Israel acting to remove leaders we needed to negotiate with didn't help.) As a result, the US now finds itself in a sad and familiar place where successful war outcomes are concerned. As to the problem of imported beef, the issue isn't just cost for consumers. It's that cattle herds are at 75 year lows even as the US inherited a 51st State worth of new people over Biden's broken border. There isn't enough to go around, which then prices average consumers out and allows beef to sit around on grocery shelves until it expires and has to be discarded. Meanwhile, Tyson moved to close a number of meat packing plants — which if we can't bring the meat to market will only assure the prices go higher. It is true: The meat packing monopoly effectively put their downstream suppliers out of business over a multi-decade period. But what people miss is that importing meat is probably about keeping the packers — because we're down to so few — from going under. After all, if there's one thing worse than ranchers being squeezed, it's being squeezed and then losing access to meat processing. Personally, I think there should have been an incentive to meet market demands by increasing herd sizes — but that takes years. Because the prior administration was motivated by climate change and "cow farts" to phase out fossil fuel, the Green New Deal hurt those who produce our food most. It only took a few years for the Biden Admin to dig a hole that will take more than a decade to dig out of. In the meantime, Americans are angry about inflation and whomever happens to be in office while this is going on will get the blame. Bottom Line If former Trump voters sit it out in November, it will amount to jumping from the frying pan to the fire. Allowing the DSA (communists!) to enjoy historic wins will fling open the door to massive tax hikes and another round of "war on climate crisis" — a top reason why we saw 40-year high inflation during the Biden admin to begin with. If it's possible to do worse than Biden on the economy, voters are apparently angry enough at Trump to pick their own pockets: The DSA comes with a $200T price tag, per the Cato Institute, thanks to leftists who can't do math and fail to understand that "tax the rich" won't even land in the "free stuff" ballpark. The leftists will demand hike taxes across the board while still having no commitment to increase beef herds (climate offender) or to increase US oil refining capacity (which is a big factor in the cost). California, for example, once was home to 40 refineries. Now there are fewer than eight, which contributes to the cost-of-fuel problem nationally. If we throw the Midterms to Democrat do we think they're going to stop closing refineries? In California, would-be 2028 presidential candidate Gov. Gavin Newsom won't even roll back the massive gas taxes to provide relief at the pump! At $40T in debt, the US is already in danger of a USSR style collapse. If voters sit elections out or actively work to usher in the DSA — even as the Trump admin remains bogged down in the Iran war — we're not just going to grapple with "inflation". We're going to wonder what hit us.

JUST IN: The DOJ says the University of California–San Francisco’s medical school illegally used race in admissions, shutting out white applicants and most Asian applicants to boost favored minority groups. According to the investigation, UCSF’s medical school invited black and Hispanic applicants to interview at far higher rates than Asian and white applicants, despite lower average MCAT scores and GPAs. From 2023 to 2025, it accepted about 1.5−1.7% of white applicants and 2.0−2.6% of Asian applicants, compared to 4.8−6.7% of Hispanic applicants and 7.0−11.4% of black applicants. Even with similar scores, grades, and socioeconomic backgrounds, black students were 12.6 times more likely to be admitted than white students, and Hispanic students 4.6 times more likely.

On Labor Day, Cade grabbed his fishing pole and rode toward the pond at Sweetwater Park, he was on the shoulder of the road, about 300 FEET from his house. Why not the sidewalk? His answer: "If I go on the sidewalk, I can only go 10mph, and also it's going to scare the pedestrians." An 11-year-old thinking about pedestrians' safety! Then, an Oviedo police officer pulled him over. Asked him for his license, his registration, his proof of insurance. THE KID IS ELEVEN. Then they fingerprinted him. Wrote him a citation with a mandatory court date and told this little boy, on camera, "You have to show up, OK? Or they're going to put out a warrant for you." Then they called in the city tow truck!!!!!! His dad's words: "They called in the city wrecker for this little, tiny electric bike and winched it on up there." Next Tuesday, Cade has to skip school to stand in front of a judge. Yes TECHNICALLY the police have a point under Florida law, but where was the common sense?!!!! Cade now says: "Now I'm kind of scared to ride my dirt bike." A Virginia mom got a criminal record for letting her son walk to a pond, two little girls in Pennsylvania got hauled into court over a broken swing, and now an 11-year-old in Florida gets printed for riding to go fishing.
