‘WILDWOOD’ ticket pre-sales have reportedly increased amid great reviews.
The film is now tracking for a $15M–$21M domestic opening weekend — potentially becoming Laika’s biggest opening ever.

Masahiro Sakurai, the creator of Super Smash Bros. and Kirby, is warning that AI could lead to a flood of unoriginal games.
Sakurai points out that Steam has gone from around 275 game releases a year in 2010 to more than 19,000 today
“AI can create games, but it can’t create something truly original.”
Sakurai also argues that originality means creating something players don’t even know they want yet.
He uses Fumito Ueda as an example, saying AI could imitate the style of games like ICO or Shadow of the Colossus, but it wouldn’t know what Ueda himself would create next.

He's had this stance about Switch 2 after they said Mario Kart was $80 & there's game-key cards which is valid and all but now when PlayStation has discontinued discs, shutdown Bluepoint, cutoff Kojima & Xbox has laid off thousands it's pretty wack since Nintendo is the tamest 😭

Then remind yourself that the most recent PS5 exclusive sold more physically than digitally in most countries.
And then remember what Sony just announced they were killing this year.
Nintendo Latin America VP Bill van Zyll says The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake is a global phenomenon and physical sales are exceeding Nintendo's expectations:
“Well, if we expected it, we wouldn’t be in that situation, right? At least not to this extent. I will tell you that it’s a global phenomenon. We have this issue absolutely everywhere. We apologize for that. That certainly is not the intent. We underestimated how well it would be received. And there’s certainly some markets that stand out.
The United States did extremely well as well. It’s a global phenomenon where they’re running out of product. The pre-sales are hitting their max, and certainly that’s what happened to us in Brazil.
We are working on replenishments of the special hardware and the software, but it’ll take a little bit of time. So I’m going to use this on you now: please be patient. But yeah, to answer your question, it caught us by surprise. We expected a positive response, but the magnitude, I mean, it’s amazing.”
