Women are out here sharing live locations, checking the backseats of cars, and holding their hands over their drinks. Men are doing 3 hour podcasts about how unfair it is that we don't smile at them. The disconnect is fatal.

Or maybe don’t make maternity leave less than minimum wage so people can enjoy having children

I NEEDED an endometrial biopsy. I was bleeding for months. Passing clots the size of my palm. Fainting at work. Iron levels in the basement. Doctor looked at my chart and said: “You’re only 27.” “Pain is normal for women.” “Have you tried losing weight?” “Sometimes women exaggerate cramps.” “What if this is just stress?” I said I can’t function. I can’t stand up without seeing stars. I’m scared. He said: “Let’s not jump to invasive procedures.” “What if you want kids soon?” “A biopsy can cause scarring.” “You don’t want to risk fertility over heavy periods.” Heavy periods. Not hemorrhaging. Not anemia. Not collapsing in the shower. Heavy periods. He offered birth control for the fourth time. I said, “I don’t care about preserving fertility. I care about not blacking out.” He paused. “Have you discussed that with your partner?” So I brought him. Doctor to him: “Are you okay if she can’t have children?” “You’re young. You might want a family.” “Would that be a dealbreaker?” Him: “She needs to stop bleeding. That’s the only family planning we’re discussing.” Suddenly the biopsy was scheduled. Pathology came back: precancerous cells. But sure. Let’s center hypothetical babies and imaginary men while a woman is actively deteriorating in front of you. Misogyny in medicine isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s just asking a dying woman if a man might want kids someday.
what’s a clear example of medical misogyny you’ve witnessed or experienced?

thinking about how in barbie land where everything is perfect for women, men still aren't suffering. they aren't in servitude, they aren't being objectified or harassed. they are just not the main characters. but in a world run by and for men, women are NEVER safe. that's the difference between feminists and misogynists. women just want to be left alone, while men don't see us as humans.

Dear Parents, If your kid is swiping a book like an iPad, wetting themselves daily at age 6, and can’t eat their lunch without an adult helping them chew… …don’t blame their teachers. BLAME YOURSELVES. You are the problem.

Dear ladies never forget that: The same world that shames me for being a single mother also shames you for not being a mother and shames another woman for having too many children..lt shames one woman for having a child at the age of 19 because she's too young but also shames another for having at 36 because she's too old..lt shames a woman who marries young as well as the one who marries old..It shames women who don't have beautiful bodies and shames those who go under the knife to get the bodies. This world shames all women, not a single one of us is spared, not a single one. So love and make yourselves happy.

It's almost that time of year when my wife sits next to me on the sofa and glances at me like I'm a piece of shit. Because of what Alan Rickman did to Emma Thompson in a fictional film, released over 20 years ago.

I got called into a meeting with HR today cause apparently telling my coworker that I knew he was a C-section baby by the way he avoids labour is not acceptable in the workplace.

What I find so hilarious is that Adolescene became a huge cultural moment in Q1 of this year, white men re-evaluating how they and their kids become radicalised in schools only for them to continue getting radicalised anyway and forming xenophobic “reclamations” of England in Q3
Youngest Emmy winner ever in any male acting category. Congratulations to Adolescence's OWEN COOPER.

"if he wanted to he would" is a phrase every grown woman should live by. like if he wants to talk to you, he will. if he wants to take care of you, he will. if he wants to see you, he will. if he wants to make a relationship work, he will move mountains. it's really that simple!

Would love to know where the “protect ar women and children” mob are regarding this.
This woman was raped and gave the police 7 minutes of video footage of her begging him to stop, crying that he was hurting her and putting his hand over her mouth to muffle her screams. They didn’t act until she posted the video on TikTok and he’s now been released on bail in her small town where she could bump into him at any time. I seriously don’t know what evidence police need to prosecute rapists.

Why is no-one in any position of power IN OUR BLOODY COUNTRY calling Farage out like this?
