Yeah that is nuts
Saw the clip where Travis Hunter explains how he “fake stumbles” when undercutting a route to trick QBs into throwing the ball - he says he intentionally squats low and leans over looking off center to make it seem like he tripped or got caught slipping on a route.
Went back and realize he did it to CJ Stroud on the EndZone interception and Stroud realizes what happened immediately.

SCOOP: Kalshi gave $2 million to a gambling addiction advocacy nonprofit. It blew up in the nonprofit's face.
Senior staff resigned, donors pulled out, and the org's future is in question.
Here's the inside story of the National Council on Problem Gambling's implosion.

My Qualitative! My vibe specialist. Look at him, you notice anything different about him? Look at his face.
I'll give you a hint, his name is Jayden. He won a local poetry competition in bushwick! Yeah I'm sure of the vibe.
Quant firms are hiring idea guys, not quants
I've been skeptical about the whole - software is commoditized, ideas are the moat argument
But I've seen first hand the best quant and technical firms in the world hire thinkers, liberal arts grads, and generalists
I predict the trend accelerates

Interesting back and forth. Ezra describes the HF incident, Jensen says "well they shouldn't release the product." Ezra says "this product wasn't released," and Jensen's response is that if they say they can't contain their experiments then "we have to shut the labs down"

Turning "cheap commoditized product" into a "lifestyle brand" is kind of a foolproof way to make money in 2026
I tried to make sense of the AI safety debate(s) and Anthropic's impending IPO in this weekend's cover story for @barronsonline. barrons.com/articles/ai-anth…

The way that Anthropic and OpenAI are going to “pace” the frontier is by spending more time and more *compute* on alignment, monitoring and evals.
The frontier labs that choose to “pace” likely spend slightly more money on compute at the cost of lower margins.
That’s it.

what I wrote about Arthur Ashe Stadium last year—probably a little worse this year
Arthur Ashe is so unbelievably loud it’s insane. I started chatting w my section usher and he said that the amount of people emailing the @usopen to tell them to tell people to stfu is unprecedented and he’s never heard it this loud before in his 25 years of working there.
