It's 2026! We all use Ai in all our day to day activities. But each time we open a new chat we've lost context from our previous conversation. Switch tools? Gone. Cancel a sub? Gone. Why not use Mnemo?

Gm Gm chat! so I’d love to drop my takeaways from the just concluded HackCanton S3, from what i actually loved this season, down to issues i faced and of course some builder tip so you dont waste time on things that Ive already figured out. So for S3, @umbraoncanton focused mainly on decentralisation of our node, as centralisation already showed how bad it could be when your only node is down, and what I loved this season, was how the @BitSafe_Finance's team actually showed up, and assisted with the co-hosting of our parties, on their node. They actually stayed with the node-down run even after the first attempt failed, and that genuinely meant a lot to us! The @appsfactory_cc team were also super active and i could see how they swiftly attended to other participants' issues kudos to the team. So, down to challenges I faced this season, the one that actually stood out, was with the wallet integration, where i found out that every wallet signs differently, so even when dealing with just 4 wallets, and those wallets wanted the same 32-byte hash, they all kinda wanted it in 4 different shapes, so for instance, 1 decodes base64 itself, while another straight up wants it wrapped by its own SDK, another UTF-8 expands a bare string before signing. So basically, if not careful, you just find out withdrawals or basic transactions silently do nothing, and unfortunately, most of our integration time went there, not even into the Daml lol. With all these said, what i genuinely feel would help S4, is, β€’ A link to documentation holding details about exactly which bytes a wallet should sign, with sample hashes to check against if possible (Im actually working on setting up a public repo for this later too). β€’ Again, links to docs for the one ledger permission an externally-signed trade needs before it can execute. And now as a developer on Canton this might help you save some time actually; β€’ I’d advise you run tests against 2 wallets from day one, because 1 working wallet proves nothing lol except if you only plan to integrate 1 single wallet though. β€’ Record the demo before deadline hours this is actually very important, as a poorly made demo could miss lots of key points that judges watch out for. But in all, the builds this season were really at the top, and it was really nice listening to you guys pitch yesterday🫑🫑
πŸ† Umbra won the @BitSafe_Finance Gold track at HackCanton Season 3! This season we hosted our parties across two nodes, stopped our own node and settled a trade on DevNet despite that. Thank you to BitSafe for backing decentralization on Canton, thank you to @appsfactory_cc for organising and creating the perfect place to grow canton developers, and projects🫑 and thanks also, to the judges too! A big congrats to every finalist and winner you guys shipped this season fr!!🫑

Any @hedera dev around?? πŸ‘€ I started building Preflight, which is a scaffold-hbar template for developers, almost a month ago, and finished it up about 2 weeks ago, what this does basically, is to assist my fellow developers building HTS token onboarding and acquisition on Hedera. It lets you instantly diagnose account readiness, navigate four native association mechanisms, and execute seamless testnet token swaps through SaucerSwap using framework-free TypeScript policies and native Hiero SDK execution. Enjoy, and let me know how it goesπŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰ preflight-peach-theta.vercel… Demo video: youtu.be/UQkpHRn6z2U?si=WsJ9…

The V3 featuring the Bring Your Own Wallet, is now liveπŸ‘€ Last season, Umbra took silver at HackCanton. This season, I came back to push umbra even further. The highlight, was working with BitSafe to settle a trade while my own participant was offline, via their DecMan, and getting to work through a real integration with another team made a huge difference for me. Thanks to Richard and @BitSafe_Finance as a whole, for working through the co-hosting and the node-down test with me, and the @appsfactory_cc crew for their constant reminder (always pushed me back to building lolπŸ˜…). So yeah, now I want people to try it: Um-bra.app |@UmbraOnCanton
We teased V3 last month. Today, it’s live. Umbra V3 is now open on @CantonNetwork DevNet. Connect your Devnet wallets, (preferably, Loop or Console wallet). Invite dealers to compete privately. Fill your trade across one or more dealers and settle atomically. Your wallet. Your signatures. Enter β†’ um-bra.app DevNet assets only.

Umbra cofounder breaks down the problem we’re solving, how private RFQs work, and why Canton makes this kind of market structure possible. A quick look at what we’ve built and why it matters for institutional block trading.

$9,409 in volume. 14 trades. All in closed testing. We’ve been quietly stress-testing @UmbraOnCanton with a small group before opening access more broadly. Seeing actual trades, wallets and dealer activity moving through the platform is a nice milestone. We’re still early, but Umbra is starting to feel very realπŸ‘€. @appsfactory_cc @CantonNetwork

Big orders move markets. Unless nobody sees them. UMBRA is a dark OTC venue on Canton. Ask only the dealers you choose, take the best firm quote, settle on-ledger. The market sees nothing. Live on DevNet.

For a week now, I've been building for the @ETHGlobal's ethonline2026 Hackathon, as a Solo builder. The @hedera track caught my attention, as I loved the concept of how Hedera's Asset Tokenization Studio lets an issuer mint a compliant bond. Its own documentation lists "Secondary Market Trading" as use case one for the hold primitive it ships. They built the escrow for a marketplace. The marketplace doesn't exist yet, so I built it, with the experience gathered while building @UmbraOnCanton Sotto is a request-for-quote block-trading venue for ATS-issued securities. A bondholder puts size up for bid without moving the market. Dealers compete under commit–reveal: during the quote window, and only `keccak256` reaches the venue, so nobody can read a price before the window closes. The window closes on a Hedera consensus timestamp rather than my server clock, so I can't quietly extend it for a favoured dealer either. And when they do reveal, every price is recomputed against its commit, and the book is allocated on strict price priority. An intresing thing about Sotto, is that settlement is atomic DvP in one transaction. Cash leg and security leg, both or neither. Within that short period, i was able to integrate real $USDC, Real ATS diamond, Five contracts, every stage timestamped to a public HCS topic. Nothing minted for convenience. Want to know more about Sotto? Go through thisπŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡ ethglobal.com/showcase/sotto… Live link: sotto-tau.vercel.app πŸ’Ύ github.com/timix648/sotto

Umbra placed 2nd in all three tracks at the HackCanton Season 2 Grand Final. 2nd in cBTC, 2nd in cETH, and 2nd overall. Judges called it "the strongest settlement proof in the whole cohort." Here's what we builtπŸ‘‡

Umbra was a solo build, One person trying to prove you could settle real $cBTC against real $cETH, privately and atomically on Canton. It ended up 2nd across all three tracks. Plenty of late nights, a couple of moments I nearly quit, and worth every one of them. Thanks Noders.

Umbra's open for testing. Private OTC block trades on Canton, real $cBTC,$CC and $cETH settling atomically, nobody in the middle, nothing leaking. Been a fun one to build. um-bra.app @CantonNetwork Β· @CantonFdn Β· @appsfactory_cc Β· @BitSafe_Finance Β· @OnRailsFinance

Umbra v2 is live. Real cross-issuer settlement, not mocks: $cBTC @BitSafe_Finance , $cETH @OnRailsFinance and Canton Coin ($CC ) swap in one atomic CIP-56 transaction. No stablecoin intermediary needed. No operator custody. Each party signs with its own key.
Introducing Umbra! A private OTC venue for institutional block trades on @CantonNetwork. Dealers compete blind β€” a rival's quote is never sent to a competitor. Canton withholds it at the ledger, not the interface. The winning trade settles atomically. Both legs, or neither.

It's a good day try out Mnemo. This ever happened to you? You debug with AI for 3 hours, solve it, close the tab. Next week, same bug, zero memory of the fix. Mnemo remembers, so you never re-explain context to a machine again.
