Shocking scenes from France and across Europe. Violent groups of migrant-background youths, street violence, vandalism and looting — this goes far beyond student protests. These events once again highlight the irreversible consequences of uncontrolled mass immigration and failed migration policies. The radical left’s role in fuelling tensions and the paralysis of the liberal state are further deepening the social crisis. What is happening in France is a warning to all of Europe: when a state can no longer protect its borders, guarantee the safety of its citizens or maintain public order, it is on the path to surrendering itself. This is what the former patriotic Hungarian government saved our country from by protecting Hungary against illegal migration.

One of the most absurd examples of Hungary’s growing authoritarianism: former State Secretary Veronika Varga-Bajusz is being prosecuted as a “psychological accomplice”. Today, her pre-trial detention was upheld. There is no legal basis for her detention. This is nothing but political intimidation, sending a clear warning to every Hungarian: anyone who refuses to bow to those in power can be branded a “psychological accomplice”, even if innocent. This is what the Tisza government has turned Hungary into. Shameful! We in Fidesz stand with all those unjustly detained and will use every means at our disposal to fight against authoritarianism!

Patriots stand with the people of Ceuta. The crisis in Ceuta is a stark warning to all of Europe and a direct consequence of failed migration policies. A continent that cannot defend its borders cannot protect its people or secure its future. With leaders like @Santi_ABASCAL, @J_Bardella, and Patriots across Europe, we stand united to stop illegal migration, defend Europe’s borders and protect the security of our citizens.

Never again! Three years ago, Hamas launched its brutal terrorist attack against innocent Israelis. October 7 became one of the darkest tragedies for the Jewish people since the Holocaust: nearly 1,200 people were killed and 251 taken hostage. Three years on, we remember the victims and share the grief of their families and the people of Israel. We will not forget.

We @PatriotsEP deplore the role and active participation of the French extreme left in the violent demonstrations in French schools and on the streets. It is unacceptable to encourage violence during student demonstrations.

On the eve of the commemoration of October 7, a far-left French MEP chose to tear down the European and Israeli flags inside the European Parliament. We consider this act completely unacceptable and condemn it in the strongest terms. We call on the @EP_President to impose the severest possible sanction.

In today’s debate ahead of next week’s EUCO, I stressed that the EU needs a fundamental change of course. Yet the @EU_Commission keeps pushing failed policies: more centralisation, more bureaucracy and misguided MFF priorities. Meanwhile, EU institutions remain silent as the Tisza government builds an authoritarian regime and dismantles democracy and the rule of law in Hungary, despite having relentlessly attacked the previous patriotic government for years. Their deafening silence now exposes their hypocrisy.
