Woman who accused Jay-Z of sexual assault through a civil lawsuit filed in 2024 has withdrawn her allegations, saying her claims were false:
“Shawn ‘Jay-Z’ Carter never r*ped me. I have never met or spoken to Mr. Carter. Mr. Carter never engaged in any inappropriate conduct toward me whatsoever.”

I’m sorry but @Drake isn’t allowed to call other rappers albums forgettable and say they come and go quickly. He’s correct in his sentiment, but he’s also a huge part of that sentiment as well. Fam dropped 3 albums. That’s like 90 songs or some shit, and I heard ppl discussing ONE song from ONE of them albums when they first dropped.
The hype has died. It was a good move for his label, record breaking, high streaming numbers etc etc but be clear, them 3 albums were the epitome of albums that come and go. If you drop 3 joints, the general public should be discussing them for the next year or two repeatedly and at a high level.
That aint happen. They spoke on Iceman and that Janice song—that’s it. I can’t even tell you the name of the other two albums. I can’t name a song off them either. Actually, I don’t even know if the Janice joint is on Iceman. He did the exact thing he just clowned other artists for.
Where do you get that the Lesotho government wants to do this! How did you determine this?

#JayZ Jay-Z and the Epstein Files
Warning: Long Post:
I have refrained from commenting on the "Epstein Files" because it was unnecessarily politicized - and not just by one party!
With the mention of Jay-Z in an FBI intake form contained in the Epstein Files, a lot of people have jumped to conclusions and presumed Jay-Z guilty.
The form indicated that: On 7/10/2019, a woman called the FBI and indicated that she was a sex abuse victim & that Epstein and others were the perpetrators.
The woman claimed the abuse started in 1994 (approx).
More specifically, the woman claimed that in 1996, that she was residing with someone. She claimed that she was abducted from her home by an unknown man and taken to another location.
She claimed that "she later awoke in the presence of Harvey Weinstein and Shawn Carter (Jay-Z) while Weinstein had inserted his fingers into ... [She] believed she was in Epstein's mansion in Florida."
The woman claimed that she was abducted about 7 times and always awoke "in an opulent indoor setting."
The woman claimed that she suffered sex abuse on several of those occasions. She said that "Epstein participated." The woman "recalled Leon Black and William Barr, current United State[s] Attorney General, being present during some of those occasions of abuse."
The woman also said that she recalled Epstein abusing her in 2006 (approx).
The woman said that in 2007, "Weinstein and Pusha T ... drugged her before engaging in sexual abuse."
The woman believed that on each occasion, she was drugged, which clouded her memory.
The woman refused to provide the FBI with an address and said she had no permanent address and moved between staying at different hotels.
MY ANALYSIS
I was not there; as such, I don't know what happened or didn't happen. I hope, for her sake, this woman did not suffer the abuses she recounted. Nobody deserves such an abuse. If the allegations are true, my heart goes out to her.
Since I was not there, my analysis will focus on what we know and any reasonable inferences therefrom.
Dates: The woman was describing (in July 2019) events that allegedly occurred in 1994 and 1996. That's 25yrs and 23yrs later, respectively. Is her memory accurate given the passage of time?
In 1994, Jay-Z was a relative nobody. It's highly unlikely that he had the clout to be hanging out with Weinstein and Epstein. Recall that at that time, Jay-Z was rejected by several record companies, which forced him to form his own record company (along with Dame Dash and Biggs Burke). If Jay-Z had the clout to be hanging out with big shots like Weinstein and Epstein, they would've very easily helped him get a record deal.
Also, "Reasonable Doubt" was released in June 1996. It reached no. 23 on the charts in July 1996. This means that within months after his debut album launched him onto the scene, Jay-Z became fast friends with Epstein and Weinstein, to the point that they committed sexual assaults together in 1996? Hmm. Unlikely.
Harvey Weinstein and his brother founded Miramax Films. In 1993, Disney bought Miramax for $80 million. So, you mean to tell me that Weinstein who was worth more than $40 million in 1996 was hanging out with a relatively unknown rapper (Jay-Z) in 1996 to the point where they'll commit sexual assaults together? Hmm.
2006 and 2007: The last abuse was in 2007. George W. Bush was President. Bill Barr was not the Attorney General. No report until 2019.
Bill Barr. The woman reported that Bill Barr was present during some of the abuses. However, the woman didn't make a report to the FBI from 1994 to 2018. The woman made the report in 2019 when Bill Barr was the Attorney General (and capable of having an influence on the investigation). Curious/questionable decision and timing!
The Abductions: The woman claimed that she lived with someone during these periods. So, she was abducted 7 times and the person or persons she lived with never called the police? 7 times? Hmm. No "missing person" person report?
The Age Issue: Available literature shows that pedophiles have certain preferences and certain age-range they focus on. Whatever her age was in 1994, she was 12 or 13 years older in 2006 or 2007 (the years of the last abuses by Epstein). Would the woman still be in Epstein's preferred age range? I am just raising questions to help determine veracity. I am not calling her a liar.
The Drug and Memory Issues: The woman stated that she was drugged on each occasion and that the drugs could've clouded her memory. No commentary needed.
The Identity of the Woman: This is perhaps the most important aspect of this discussion. We don't know who actually made this report. I don't think the FBI knows, either. The caller gave her name but did not provide any address for the FBI to follow up and verify. Anybody can make a phone call to the FBI and claim that they are who they are not (Note that it is a crime to lie to the FBI). If the FBI determined that her report was false it would be tough to charge the caller because identifying the actual caller won't be easy. This call could've been placed by a real victim or non-victim who simply wanted to cause trouble. Without verification or follow-up, we cannot assume it is factual.
Interesting "Fact": The woman never directly accused Jay-Z of sexually assaulting her. She stated that Jay-Z was present when she awoke.
