My 1st preprint is out! We wanted to understand how the shift from dorsomedial (DMS) to dorsolateral (DLS) #striatum occurs when actions become automated. But from a different perspective - one where rigid actions are optimal instead of maladaptive. 1/7

Over the moon to be awarded an @arc_gov_au #DiscoveryProject with Prof Simon Killcross @ #UNSWScience! This project will investigate when, where and how corticostriatal circuits support impulse control. Big thanks to the village of supporters that helped me get here! #DP25 🐀🧠👩🏻🔬

I’ve been lucky enough to have many discussions about #autism research with @MiaLangguth and the passion and insight she gained as a #carer is inspiring. Check out her story here 👇
Neuroscientist @MiaLangguth was working part-time as a carer when she met Chris, a 24-year-old man living with #autism.
It was an encounter which helped shape her research career.

Very lucky to have open conversations with this collaborative group about measuring #habits in the lab -> in humans and rodents! Why is it so challenging? Can we measure habits beyond a lack of goal-directed control? Check out our preprint led by @Pop_Watson👇
