I lie down and sleep. I wake up again because the LORD continues to sustain me.

I found a prayer tucked away in Habakkuk 2:3 that spoke deeply to where my heart is. Lord, for the things You have shown me that have not happened yet, teach me how to wait without losing heart. When the vision takes longer than I expected, keep me from believing that You have forgotten me. When I cannot see movement, keep me from creating movement out of fear, impatience, or panic. Teach me to trust You even when I have no evidence that anything is changing. Give me the wisdom to know the difference between a promise that requires my obedience and a promise that simply requires my patience. Show me when I need to move, and give me the grace to be still when You are telling me to wait. When everyone around me seems to be moving forward and my own life feels suspended, keep me from measuring Your faithfulness by somebody else’s timeline. Save me from comparing my journey to someone else’s chapter and then assuming that because their story is moving, mine must be forgotten.

I’m not interested in forcing Jesus on anyone. Faith has to be a choice. But I also won’t water down what He means to me just to make people comfortable. He found me, changed me, and became the center of my life. How could I hide that? 🙏🏽🔥
