I’ll never forget when I was at an anti-racism workshop and they had us do this interactive game where they’d say a privilege and if you had it you’d step forward and ofc I was all the way in the back behind everyone, and one white person kept on looking back and making this face
Last week I went to the meet and greet event for the Ward 10 candidates. I was unsure who I was going to vote for going in and was in a toss up between two people when I got out.
4 of the candidates were in attendance. They all addressed my concerns differently, some inadequately
That’s why I took the two hours out of day and sat with all 4 of them, asked my questions, heard their responses on a personal one on one level.
More people need to do this.

I went to Beyoncé last year, I had floor seats. I was losing my mind, crying and screaming along to the lyrics. While I was dancing and having the time of my life, there were so many people around me watching the concert through their phones.
