Max Hairston has had a rough day, to say the least. Maye has thrown his way a lot today, resulting in several big plays.

🚨🇳🇱 Joey Veerman has quietly been one of the BEST MIDFIELDERS this season: • Immediately becoming a key piece of Borussia Dortmund’s midfield, with BVB starting the Bundesliga season with 4 WINS from 4. • His biggest strength is exactly what elite possession teams need: Tempo, vision and progressive passing. • After being left out by Ronald Koeman, Xavi Hernández immediately brought him BACK into the Netherlands squad. • Against Germany, Veerman came on and impressed enough for Xavi to specifically single him out: “In the second half it was mainly Joey, who played very well..." • After his game vs. Germany, Veerman became Netherlands' MOST IMPORTANT asset in the XI for Xavi, becoming a starter. • One of those midfielders who makes the game look EASY, always scanning, always finding the next pass, always one step ahead. THE DUTCH RODRI. 🇳🇱✨
