9 Oct. 2023, Jabalia Massacre.
I was displaced in Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza at the beginning of this war, and I witnessed the massacre that claimed the lives of dozens of people and left hundreds injured. They bombed a crowded public market filled with passersby and displaced people.
I was walking alongside some of those who were killed. We had been together just moments before that horrific explosion. The sound of that blast still echoes in my mind and heart, and it will remain with me forever.
The explosion struck. I turned around, looking for the person who had been walking beside me and talking to me just moments earlier.
Where is my friend Ahmed? I wondered, my heart trembling with fear.
I ran frantically towards the site of the strike, searching among the dead and wounded. There were children, women, and men. I couldnโt recognize anyone, the bodies had been completely burned beyond recognition.
Every time an ambulance arrived, I rushed to look inside, hoping to find Ahmed. But every time, he was nowhere to be found.
When I finally felt a little reassured, believing that perhaps Ahmed had left before the explosion, I continued walking. Then I saw a lifeless body lying in the road, its face covered in dust and smeared with blood.
It was the last body I had to look at.
It was him, the missile had thrown him far away.
On this day, I came face to face with the cruelty and brutality of life, to meet someone you love, only for them to be killed moments later.
His voice still echoes in my mind, and his face appears before my eyes time and time again. Ahmed was never just a name or a number. He was a soul that will never be extinguished.
It felt as though life had lost its light and become meaningless after he was gone.
I will never forget you for as long as I live. I will keep remembering you and carrying you in my heart until we meet again.
Farewell, my friend.

Have we considered the possibility David Lynch is just writing our reality now from a higher plane and thatโs why everything is a weird hellscape populated by abnormal sexually repressed caricatures from the 1950s?

In 1905, after it had become obvious that the only way Zionists were able to acquire land in Palestine was to displace Palestinians, a delegate to the 1905 Zionist congress, Yitzhak Epstein, warned:
"Can it be that the dispossessed will keep silent and calmly accept what is being done to them? Will they not ultimately arise to regain, with physical force, that which they were deprived of through the power of gold? Will they not seek justice from the strangers that placed themselves over their land?"

On Oct 7 I canโt help but think of all the people who were so ready to believe that 40 babies had been beheaded, or cooked in an oven, or that hundreds of women had been mass raped.

It's only the afternoon local time and in the West Bank, there are at least two dozen Palestinians injured and one Palestinian, 44-year-old Ali Bazari was killed.
Today's attacks are specifically called for by Israelis in light of October 7th.
Out of the Palestinians killed in the West Bank in the last ten months, nearly 35% were killed by armed Israelis while 65% were killed by the Israeli army. They're both working in coordinated efforts not just to kill and injure, but to also create hostile environments in the West Bank to further push Palestinians out.

Really canโt stand these tone-deaf โMerry October 7โ posts from Westerners whoโve fetishized the resistance, consumed it like entertainment, and now talk about October 7 as if it were the pilot episode of some show theyโve become emotionally invested in.
There are Palestinians, both inside Gaza and across the diaspora, whoโve spent their entire lives supporting the resistance and who still support it today, yet when October 7 comes around, they speak about it with a tinge of sadness. Not because they suddenly regret resistance, but because for many of them, it marks the last moment they remember feeling any real sense of joy, hope, or possibility before the entire world betrayed them and abandoned Gaza to the horrors that followed.
This day should serve as a reminder of our collective failure, our impotence, and our weakness, and as motivation to be better and do better instead of leading lives where weโre constantly looking for the next compromise thatโll placate us.
You can be unapologetic about it without sounding so gleeful and oblivious to the fact that countless futures were absolutely eviscerated in the horrors that followed while you cosplay as a revolutionary in the relative safety of the West. Youโre watching this from thousands of miles away; theyโve had to live it, so have a little shame and show some decorum.
Remarkable the people mad at this, insisting on Oct 7, *only* Jewish suffering be mentioned. When thatโs exactly the attitude that has marked Israeli history and led to this point.
This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers. It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7. On that day, Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis and abducted 251 others. We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss.
The suffering did not begin nor end that day. It instead continued through the Israeli governmentโs devastating, ongoing genocide in Gaza, in which it has killed more than 74,000 Palestiniansโincluding more than 21,000 children. Even since the so-called ceasefire, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed. That suffering has intensified with every Israeli bomb dropped on ambulances waiting outside hospitals, every drone strike targeting a residential building or journalist, and every shipment of food aid turned away at a border crossing. Many New Yorkers are reckoning with this unbearable grief, and we mourn alongside them โ all while knowing that our tax dollars fund these war crimes.
Three years later, we must refuse to accept a world in which occupation and apartheid continue, where war crimes are met with impunity, and our federal government continues its complicity with every arms shipment.
To honor the dead, we must fight for a world in which every person can live with freedom, safety, and dignity.

The White House cancelled their policy to terminate Temporary Protected Status for 170,000 to 200,000 Salvadorans in the US only after construction lobbyists said it would disrupt major projects and hurt their profits.
There you have it folks.
USA won't give these human beings a clear path to citizenship, and the fascists won't deport them because wealthy employers would lose the low-cost labor they love so much.
Salvadorans are the largest immigrant population on Long Island, and their valuable labor makes a lot of rich guys here even richer.
They're trapped in a sort-of limbo state where they're exploited like an indentured servant, instead of getting seen as a human being.
The Trump admin is basically just the general manager of a massive human trafficking operation involving immigrants.
