"It's clear the tools are getting better, you can do more, you can do it faster. But I think the more important question is: are we actually making better things with these tools? Are our teams getting better with these tools? I don't think that answer is clearly yes."
Linear CEO @karrisaarinen: "I took a break this summer from paying attention to AI. I thought that when I came back, I'd feel left behind. But when I came back, I realized that nothing has really changed.
There's new models, there's new techniques, there's new agents. But in the end, making great products, increasing revenue, and building the business—it's still hard.
It's clear the tools are getting better, you can do more, you can do it faster. But I think the more important question is: are we actually making better things with these tools? Are our teams getting better with these tools?
I don't think that answer is clearly yes.
There's a lot of emphasis now on toolmaking and using tools and building systems. But I think in the end, as product people, our job is to make something great."
Yaaaaas! It just keeps getting better and better. 🙌
terminal-browser v0.13 - 5x less CPU usage
terminal-browser relies on sending images to the terminal very fast to create motion. Before, every time a website visually changed an image of the entire page had to be sent to the terminal. On average, that is 100 million pixels transferred to the terminal per second when there is motion
in terminal-browser v0.13 only the changed pixels are sent to the terminal (visualization in video below)
agreed. its impressive to see each up their levels of course, but.... idk, it has lost its charm.

the reason why im like "idk" is that shit that used to take roughly weeks now takes minutes and it doesnt feel the same shipping something where i missed out on the dopamine hit from actually cracking the problem myself

“vibe coding” is probably the worst name we could have come up with for what is genuinely a groundbreaking shift in how software is made
the implication that prompting an agent somehow makes what you build less legitimate is incredible cope
at the end of the day, bad software isn’t a tooling problem. it’s a skill issue, as always

Introducing the terminal-browser claude code plugin!
You can now open terminal-browser directly inside claude code
🤤🖤 Vercel Labs is the best always! Love what is coming from there.
Introducing Vercel Labs
Tools for devs in the AI era
agent-browser, skills, json-render, deepsec, fx, just-bash, portless, vgpu and more
We experiment in public: ship early, learn from feedback, and keep working on what people find useful
We've been shipping under the Labs name for a while. Now, Labs is an official team at Vercel focused on exploring new capabilities and primitives that change what developers and agents can do.
Here's what to expect:
→ Labs products: maintained, supported, built to be relied on
→ Active experiments: moves fast, expect rough edges and breaking changes
→ Past experiments: ideas that become new projects, make it into existing products, or teach us what to build next

I am absolutely loving Headroom @kylezantos and cant stop recommending it to others. One request...would it be possible (maybe it is and I cant find it) to also show any "banked usage resets" one has in their codex accounts (and others should other co's do that eventually too).
Headroom 1.4 is out!
New bits of motion design, micro & full-length gauges now available, new meter styles, etc.
Headroom now also supports @cursor_ai and @grok now, alongside @OpenAI and @claudeai like it always has.
Available for free dollars 👇
