Mother Earth is struggling to breathe under the weight of emissions from BP,Exxon mobil,Chevron, and Shell, who are simultaneously posting record profits. It's crucial we demand more from these companies in terms of environmental responsibility.

Methane concentrations reached a record high of 1943 ppb!
This is already higher than the assumed peak of IPCC's mid-range scenario, SSP2-4.5.

Dear media,
Please can you inform the public of the alarm climate scientists are expressing about the apparent increase in the rate of global warming.
@piersmorgan @NeilThompson62 @CliveMyrieBBC @vicderbyshire @Emmabarnett @maitlis @jonsopel @Peston @bbcnickrobinson @mrjamesob
"If the 15-year warming trend leading up to now continued, global warming would reach 2°C by April 2038"
Looking at the @NASA CERES based Earth's Energy Imbalance, I think we will reach that even sooner!
We are already at +1.5°C, for all intents and purposes.

F*ck!
The ocean is losing its ability to store heat as the planet warms up
With a record high rate of heat accumulation, that means that more heat is available to warm the land and atmosphere, and to melt ice.
Both relatively and absolutely.
Which is exactly what we see!
Replying to @LeonSimons8
There is a rapid increase in the amount of heat that is absorbed by the atmosphere.
-From 1961-2000 the trend was 0.53 ZJ (5.3*10^20 Joules) per decade.
-From 2006-2020 this was 2.29 ZJ per decade.
That means that ~4 times as much heat is now accumulating in the atmosphere!

To anyone criticising climate activists, it’s YOUR responsibility to protect your children’s futures, not other people’s. Why aren’t you?

Top climate scientist: we can’t adapt to what’s coming with climate change.
In other words, we either stop it - or we’re fucked.

Trump said today he wants his legacy to be that of a peace maker
His only legacy will be that he will have helped to have killed billions of people and countless animals as he blocks climate action and drills baby drills

Hottest January on record shocks scientists
Far for being alarmists, scientists have underestimated how rapidly our climate is heading towards catastrophic change the likes of which Earth has not seen in millions of years and which human cannot survive

When a Science paper casually mentions that we are already at +1.5°c...
We are rapidly charging towards a climate not seen in millions of years.
If ever.
We've reached 1.5°C global warming.
With current policies, we're heading for a catastrophic 2.7°C warming.
A new review paper in Science shows: this would change the Arctic 'beyond recognition', with knock-on effects (like rising seas) around the world.

Of course this was going to happen. We’ve dumped long-lived pollutants such as plastics in massive quantities everywhere, and now we must suffer and pay for the reckless planetary experiment we went along with. The worst era to be alive is underway, with extinction on the cards.
