I wanted to take a moment to share how much your music means to my wife and me. She has been a devoted fan of The Used for over 15 years. I had the honor of taking her to her first concert when you played at Tempe Town Lake about 15-16 years ago, and we've never missed a show in Phoenix since, except for one time. We even traveled to the "When We Were Young" festival just to see you guys.
Your music, and especially your story, has touched her soul in ways I can't even begin to describe. In fact, we walked down the aisle to "Smother Me" on our wedding day. But the reason I'm writing is because this concert at Mullett Arena tonight holds an even deeper meaning for us. My wife recently got clean from opiates and has been sober since February 20, 2024. This is the first concert she's wanted to see since starting her journey to sobriety, and it’s such a big step for her.
I know this might be a long shot, but I wanted to see if there’s any way to make this night even more special for her, whether it’s a private concert, a FaceTime call, or something personal from the band. I’m not sure what the cost would be, but I’d love to do whatever I can to make it happen. It would mean the world to her, and to me.
Thank you so much for your music, your story, and for being such a positive force in our lives. No matter what, we’ll continue to be lifelong fans.
