If ever it was in doubt, Saturday's performance proved once and for all that DKD's best position is the No.10 berth. After playing such a prominent role in so many of Wednesday's attacks, I asked him just how much he enjoys playing in that role. ⬇️

A little over four years on from his exit from Hillsborough, Saido Berahino has decided to call time on his playing career. He scored nine goals in 36 games for Wednesday. He's now going to focus his efforts on the Burundi national team. ⬇️

At the @SheffChildrens auction last night before auctioning off the Sheffield Wednesday Lion the gentleman introducing expressed hope that the new owners of @swfc would support the Children’s Hospital which the prior owner hadn’t.
Please know that for as long as I remain the proud Chairman and owner of our amazing club, @swfc + me will be reliable patrons of @SheffChildrens. Their work is so important… I will always support their efforts as they work tirelessly to provide world class treatment and care today + long into the future for the kids + families who depend on them. I stand alongside @bazzabannan25 and his incredible support for @SheffChildrens.
@SheffChildrens is a very important part of the broader Sheffield community which has been kind to embrace @michaelestorch and me, plus our friend Tom Costin and the investors he brought along as we together with the telented and committed team @swfc work day and night to return the club to its historic glory. And make no mistake… we will!
When passing or entering our beloved Hillsborough, I invite each and everyone of you as you gaze at the beautiful artistry of Zoe Burger and her Sheffield Wednesday Lion and Lioness you stop for a moment and think of the kids + families who depend on the Hospital and the remarkable staff that works there, stop for a moment, say a prayer or two for successful outcomes everyday.
The work they do @SheffChildrens is so important… it is my honor to show my support by purchasing the Lions+ more. I do so with my own 10 grandchildren in mind .

With Max Lowe back from a recent injury lay-off, Henrik Pedersen now has a decision to make when it comes to his selection at left-back amid the presence of Reece James. Nevertheless, it's a dilemma he's is only too happy to be faced with. ⬇️

Following yesterday’s 5-0 win over AFC Wimbledon, Wednesday have more points (18) and have scored more goals (20) than they have previously at this stage in L1.
Some thoughts on why Henrik Pedersen and his players deserve credit for their start. ⬇️

Oxford City progressed to the first round of the FA Cup yesterday, meaning a reunion with Fernando Forestieri is a possibility for Wednesday in tomorrow night's draw. The Owls haven't faced non-league opposition in the competition since 2014. ⬇️

I asked Henrik Pedersen yesterday what he has made of #SWFC's overall start to the season. With just two defeats in their first 13, it has been a positive start from a results perspective.
The Owls boss believes certain strengths have been key. ⬇️

Yesterday felt like a breakthrough moment in Davis Keillor-Dunn's Owls career. Up and running in the league, the 28-year-old credited Henrik Pedersen for giving him the confidence to go out and enjoy his football again after a testing period. ⬇️

Following this afternoon's five-goal haul over AFC Wimbledon, Wednesday now have the best GD (+12) in League One. Additionally, only Reading (22) and Stockport County (21) have scored more than #SWFC's 20.
Today demonstrated the damage this team can do when on the front foot.
Really enjoyed chatting to Davis Keillor-Dunn for the first time after the game. He was understandably delighted to get a couple of goals, explaining how hungry he had been get on the scoresheet at Hillsborough for the first time. Fingers crossed there's more to come!

FT: Wednesday 5-0 AFC Wimbledon. Goals from Davis Keillor-Dunn (2), Barry Bannan, Harry Gray and Callum Slattery seal a commanding win for the Owls!
Nine unbeaten across all competitions.

There's another one! It's a second for DKD and a fifth for Wednesday. Kieran Morrison carries the ball forward, spots DKD to his left and the latter slots home a composed effort. That will do nicely!

Attendance: 30,477. Another top crowd for League One at Hillsborough this afternoon.

Final Owls change; Kieran Morrison on for Harry Gray.

Di'Shon Bernard makes way with 74 minutes on the clock, being replaced by Max Lowe. Great to see the pair of them back in action.
