The extraordinary porcelain of Japanese ceramic master Tokuda Yasokichi III
His Saiyū glazing technique transformed traditional Kutani ceramics into brilliant color spectrums of cobalt
Developed in the 1970s, his work earned him Japan’s prestigious Living National Treasure designation in 1997
If you need a random color (e.g. procedurally coloring objects), you should use Oklab or Oklch color space instead of RGB or HSV. RGB may span the whole spectrum, but it does not pick fairly (leaning dark/muddy).
Oklab is designed to more closely map to how we perceive color
Kenney needs to get a fucking grip man he was trying to tell mrdoob that threejs was slop because some contributions to the codebase were agent-assisted, would probably say the same shit to linus torvalds
Replying to @KenneyNL
This is bullshit, Kenney. I’m the same tech tree following optimist who moved from C to C++, from 2D to 3D, and from closed source to open source. I run a company. I write code. I contribute to published papers. I’ve upped my expectations of AI. Up yours!

the reason you don’t have to fear social media mobs is that people with high screen-time beliefs also tend to have very low IRL efficacy

John Provencher (@hahajohnx) is a NY based master of the retro mutating pixel and energy field illustration. His stuff for Bloomberg, A24, and NYT is just so so good. Total legend.
