Got into an argument with a Lindsay Clancy supporter recently. She said, “You just don’t understand postpartum depression!” I realized she was right. As a man, I have no concept of this. For those wondering yes I have indeed watched the film, Tommy Lee Jones's proformance was particularly good, but I guess I just didn't like the film very much. I know its very popular and it got a lot of praise so I know I'm in the minority on this one. Maybe deserves a rewatch?

One of my favourite details in the Ride of the Rohirrim is Théoden riding along the line, striking his soldiers’ spears with his sword. What makes it even better is that it was Bernard Hill’s own idea. Bernard wanted a gesture that would rally his men before the charge, and it became one of the most memorable moments in the entire trilogy. Still gives me chills.
