Software developers always say 'it works on my machine'.
It's a regular expression.

I'm a principal software engineer who's trusted to go around and find, fix, and improve the things that need it without little supervision.
And yet, I just spent 20 minutes debugging missing file output because I had the folder sorted by type and not name. Dammit.

I was raging about this last night. I’m also 99% convinced all the fancy loading screens and “processing /checking” times are exaggerated or faked entirely to make people think the software is doing more than it is.
I made the switchover to Mac recently at work. As much as I loved using WSL and Windows Terminal I’m loving the native terminal life I’m digging not needing that workaround. The finger muscle memory and keyboard shortcut struggle is very real though.

Ah the first day back to work after a week off. Where all the software packages have updates and the inbox is a mess.
Apparently @USPS doesn’t have a “we lost your package in the truck code” I watched the mail person dig around in their truck at my mailbox for several minutes and apparently decide to claim no access to location.
You know what's more annoying than apps adding desktop shortcuts when installed?
When the app adds the shortcut again on update.
