We are concerned by reports of the arrest of Ibrahim Modibbo Sanusi @ModibboSanusi last night by security operatives.
Criticism is not a crime. Security operatives should protect citizens, not intimidate them for holding governments accountable. This is democracy, let's play it by the book.
Amnesty International is deeply concerned that in Kaduna, critics of the state government are increasingly facing threats of arrest and abduction. Activities of opposition political parties are increasingly targeted with violent attacks and other forms of repression. This is already creating a toxic climate of fear.
The latest victim of this reign of impunity is Ibrahim Modibbo Sanusi who was arbitrarily arrested in the night of 21 September at Aruwa Plaza Kaduna by the notorious police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) At the beginning of September, Zaria-based Isah Fresh was unlawfully arrested for a social media video criticizing the governor of Kaduna state Mr. Uba Sani.
Nigerian police must always uphold the due process of law and not become a tool in the hands of politicians by carrying out arbitrary arrest, detention, and other undue restrictions of the rights of individuals to the legitimate exercise of their freedom of expression, association and opinion.

Fact-Check: Gov Saniβs claim that Kaduna hasn't taken loans since 2023 is misleading

Today was honestly one of the most traumatic experiences Iβve ever witnessed. π
APC thugs attacked us today, vandalized our car and pelted us with stones. One of my friend was hit directly on the forehead with a stone and had to be rushed to the hospital.Another lady was hit badly on the chest and has been in serious pain and crying since the incident. To make matters worse,my closest friend was beaten and had her iPhone 15 Pro Max taken from her.
This is beyond politics. This is inhuman and completely unacceptable. We came out peacefully, yet this is what we were subjected to.
APC,Allah ya isa tsakaninmu da ku wallahi. We will not forget/forgive what happened today and we will not be intimidated into silence.
Insha Allah, the people will have their say at the ballot box. Sai kun fadi. βπ½

Press Release: Statement by the El-Rufai Family. The family of Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, the former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), former Governor of Kaduna State and Opposition Leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has noted with serious concern the allegations made by General Christopher Musa (Rtd.), Minister of Defence, on 3 September 2026 during a live television broadcast of Politics Today on Channels Television. During the programme, General Musa alleged that Mallam Nasir El-Rufai actively planned killings in Southern Kaduna while serving as Governor of Kaduna State.
This grave allegation was made without the presentation of any evidence in support of the claim. While General Musa (Rtd.) is entitled to hold and express his personal opinions, the El-Rufai family is equally entitled to demand that such serious allegations be substantiated with credible evidence.
In the absence of such evidence, we call on him to publicly retract the allegation through the same medium on which it was made. Accordingly, General Musa (Rtd.) is hereby given seven (7) days from the date of this statement to either provide evidence in support of his allegation or issue a full public retraction and apology.
Failure to do so will leave the family with no option but to pursue all appropriate legal remedies available under the law in response to these unsubstantiated allegations.
Hon. Mohammed Bello El-Rufai
For and on behalf of the El-Rufai Family

The military accidentally bombed Gidan Sama and Runtua.
The military accidentally bombed the Jilli village monthly market.

After they retired from the service, this π is the team they join to help in the killllllings of the Muslims in southern kaduna. Elrufai dismantled them using constitution al power. But one 3diot is now crying foul.
We know how things were when Elrufai was there, it was toxic, Elrufai did a lot of terrible things in Kaduna state, he divided the state in two. Governor Uba Sani has been able to dissolve all that. We cannot never be happy with somebody (Elrufai) who has deliberately plans for the killing of our people.

Wait! Was that you? X payback or Karma??
When Atiku made his statement about bringing back subsidy and later removing it, I didnβt say anything, even though I knew he wasnβt being sincere.
But waking up to see him now going against NELFUND is something I cannot ignore. Especially when he has no record of building a sustainable system that directly benefits the common man.
Those of you who think NELFUND is a bad policy should ask students from less privileged backgrounds who are currently benefiting from the scheme. Ask them what it means to have a chance to pursue their education without being forced out because they cannot afford the fees.
Politics is one thing; the impact of a policy on ordinary Nigerians is another. I refuse to condemn something simply because a politician I donβt support introduced it.
