Given how macho Reform’s media - and indeed, political - strategy has been to date (‘we’re leading in the polls..), it’ll be fascinating to see how they deal with this downturn:
Not quite panic stations, but Arbeloa has got to turn this around. All the summer signings are his and 0 from 6 - against some teams #ffc really should beat - is dire
And pretty easy to identify who Cooper is talking about..
💥Yvette Cooper blasts three men - a senior health journalist, former Matt Hancock spad and a senior dr - who described her first interview as Health Secretary as 'underwhelming' and 'very narrow in focus'
What did she talk about? Improving maternity care.
'That's what we've been up against for decades', she tells the Labour Party conference (to huge applause)

Who is writing Polanski’s statements?
Glaring strategic errors in his reply to @andyburnham’s speech: 1. “Talks like he gets it” validates Burnham’s authenticity. 2. “Break from 40 years” is *exactly* the PM’s pitch. 3. PM pledged electoral reform; Greens completely ignored it:

Huckabee’s statement “25% of pharmaceuticals used in the UK are made in Israel” is demonstrably false. There is an Israeli pharma company with two locations in the UK, which supplies c. 15% of generics on the NHS, but that is company share, not country of origin.
Mike Huckabee US ambassador to Israel on possible Israel reprisals suggests 25% of pharmaceuticals used in the UK are made in Israel. "Are they willing to give those up? It looks as if they are". He also predicts no British company will be able to do business in Florida due to Florida state laws. Claims UK is throwing a stone not knowing where it is going to land.
Adds Palestinians themselves have rejected a two state solution. Says when at weekend he accused the Labour government of being gripped by Jew hate, he knew the foreign secretary Ed Miliband was Jewish.

Interesting and revealing Greens’ framing on its (much reduced) ambitions: 1. Polanski is copying 40-years of Lib Dems’ by-election strategy: ‘lend us your vote’ 2. “Hold Burnham to account” is pressure group language. Polanski said as recently as May he’d ‘replace Labour’
🟢Dispatch from the doorsteps in Holborn & St Pancras with @ZackPolanski and @TheGreenParty
Zack Polanski is wasting no time. Hours after announcing his plans to stand in the Holborn & St Pancras by-election, the Green Party leader was out of the traps meeting party activists at Camden Town station before a gloomy evening door knocking.
“I think the biggest thing about this campaign is it’s a win-win for people,” Polanski told The Times between stops at flats on a north London housing estate. “People have said a couple of times, ‘I’m thinking about giving Burnham a chance.’
“But my point is that this election is not about who the government is — there will still be a Labour government. You can still give Burnham a chance and elect a Green MP who will hold him to account.”
On paper this seat should be Polanski’s for the taking - his party had historic success here in May’s local elections, returning a record 11 councillors, making the Green and Progressive Alliance the official opposition to Labour.
But on the ground in Camden it appeared he may face an uphill struggle - there was a surprising amount of residual loyalty to Starmer and although many blamed Andy Burnham for unseating the former prime minister they weren’t too keen on Polanski either

NEW: NHS England staff could be moved into a separate national NHS agency, HSJ has learnt. Burnham and Cooper are thought to be less keen than their predecessors to centralise more functions in the DHSC, but do not want to U-turn on the abolition.

The US has x10 more data centres (5,427) than UK (568). Polanski’s “pause” is conservatism dressed as radicalism; UK’s demand for AI & cloud capacity won’t pause - if we don’t build, we’ll have to outsource it. It’s the same argument = no reservoirs being built in 30 years.
He's quite obviously not just referring to AI data centres. The Green party press release from today mentions data centres 10 or so times before it mentions AI.
And even so, is Zack now objecting to people using google search which auto-generates an AI response? Is he now supporting a Chatgpt ban? Would he like to stop AI generating cures for disease?
A weird attempt to import US progressive talking points into the UK debate, without reckoning with the problems we face as a country.
