Durante o período nazista, o Estado se apropriou ativamente da cultura tradicional, do folclore e do orgulho nacional alemão. No pós-guerra, após um período de silêncio coletivo, a geração de 1968 consolidou na Alemanha a noção de que qualquer manifestação de cultura tradicional ou orgulho étnico era a semente do nazismo e do seu grande pecado histórico: o Holocausto.
Consolidou-se ali uma identidade pós-nacional, baseada apenas na eficiência econômica, no Estado de bem-estar social, na integração europeia e no cosmopolitismo. Para o alemão contemporâneo, especialmente o jovem progressista urbano como o influencer em questão, não existem "alemães da diáspora", pois isso implicaria admitir uma identidade "de sangue" (étnica), e a simples existência desse conceito, para eles, equivale ao nazismo.
Além disso, a preservação das tradições do século XIX que os teuto-brasileiros promovem, a qual foi deliberadamente abandonada na Europa, já basta para que o alemão progressista veja essas comunidades como retrógradas ou "criptonazistas", ignorando que a vasta maioria de seus ancestrais imigrou para as Américas décadas antes de Hitler sequer chegar perto do poder.
Em resumo: o alemão moderno olha para o sul do Brasil e projeta aqui os tabus políticos da Alemanha atual. Ele enxerga a preservação do folclore como nostalgia do Terceiro Reich, e não como o que realmente é: o símbolo de uma resistência comunitária e familiar que construiu tudo do zero e sobreviveu a severas repressões estatais, como na Era Vargas.
Esse comportamento de repulsa é o oposto do que ocorre com os italianos, que têm orgulho da exportação de sua cultura. Mesmo que achem pitorescos ou caricatos alguns hábitos da diáspora, o sentimento passa longe do desprezo moral dos alemães, e dificilmente associariam uma festa típica colonial ao fascismo de Mussolini.
Junte tudo isso ao desprezo que parte dos progressistas brasileiros nutre contra o Sul do Brasil por razões puramente ideológicas, some à habitual carência brasileira por validação de gringo, e você tem o público perfeito para aplaudir esse tipo de conteúdo.
