Forced EVERYTHING through the middle, ignored 2v1s out wide. Played the gameplan not the game.
Even had half time to fix it. Very worrying signs for United and Carrick

United seemed intent on forcing everything through the middle. Even with City 5-4-1 at the end still no sign of using the 2v1 each side… v worrying
Carrick likely fuming and rightly so. Even Tielemans was a cheaper market opportunity.
Santos and Baleba when Utd desperately needed defensive cover too is a very poor window. A starting-quality LB as well was the bare minimum
