All true. ✅✅✅
The 3 biggest truths in leadership that “gurus, speakers, and authors” don’t like to talk about because it doesn’t get “engagement” on posts or sell books:
1. Leadership is inherently lonely. It hurts and it’s painful much of the time.
2. You get criticized more when you become a leader.
3. You are personally responsible as a leader for things you didn’t create and you don’t control.
But since these don’t sound “positive” and scare people, they’re rarely mentioned. And yet they are the defining daily experience of leading people.
The core question is:
IS THE PURPOSE AND IMPACT WORTH IT?
