After a dramatic late protest, the reigning NCAA champion was upgraded to USATF champion with a 6.96m (+0.2) jump on her second attempt, claiming her first US outdoor title.
Monae’ Nichols took silver with 6.92m, while Tara Davis-Woodhall finished third with 6.90m. 👀

🇺🇸 Alyssa Jones is the new US women's Long Jump champion!
The reigning NCAA champion soared 6.96m (+0.2) to claim her first US outdoor title in New York ahead of Monae' Nichols who was 2nd with 6.92m.
Tara Davis-Woodhall was initially awarded the victory after a final-round leap of 7.16m, only for the jump to be ruled a foul following review. She ultimately settled for 3rd with 6.90m.
