Ebenezer Babatope wrote an article some years ago that shook me.
I was about ten years old when I read it.
He said he was at a church service with very illustrious people who are members of the Catholic Church.
It was time for communion and he noticed that only some women stood up to take communion.
Most of the men didn’t and many of the younger women didn’t.
He said it baffled him so much that he told his father what he saw and asked him why it was so.
He said his father told him that most of the men have side chicks, second families, children outside wedlock, second wives and other arrangements which the church frown at and which automatically disqualifies them from taking the communion.
This was 1988
Since then I had been privileged to work with several churches and I have made friends from every denomination there is within the Church of Christ.
In every church, EVERY!
There are all sorts of sexual activities going on that the church officially frowns on but which some member or the other engage in.
You liking it or playing the holier than thou card will never change this.
Your wife may be the one sleeping with your driver and it could be you sleeping with the housemaid
Just know that when it comes to sexual activities among adults a lot go on that nobody can define or know.
And I insist that this is within the church.
Your church is not exempted
From Anglican to Celestial to CAC to RCCG To Zionist churches
Sex is a global language and the church speaks it in all its shades.
Any preacher who thinks he or she has the anointing to stop people from expressing their sexuality to their satisfaction in this life is wasting his or her time.
John the Baptist tried and it cost him his head.
Horizontal issues like marriage, relationship and sexual behavior are best left on the table of morality where they belong.
Sex, marriage and human relationships are not spiritual
They are not done in heaven, therefore they belong solely in the domain of mankind.
Jesus did not come to regulate behavior
He came that we may have life and have it more abundantly
So a wise preacher will stay with the message of salvation and how to get people to live the supernatural life that we have in Christ.
Thank you

Worshipping God is such a peaceful thing. Not asking Him for anything, and just being able to appreciate His Majesty. Bliss

Many of you, God has called to be deliverers of your families, but you are wasting yourself in fornication, masturbation and adultery.
You are the one who is supposed to stand in the gap for your family. You are the one who should be praying, interceding, and standing against the destructive patterns that have followed your family for generations.
But you are wasting your strength in brothels, pornography, secret sexual relationships and habits you have refused to confront.
YOU ARE PRAYING FOR GOD TO CHANGE YOUR FAMILY'S STORY WHILE REFUSING TO LET HIM DEAL WITH YOUR OWN LIFE!
Some of you should be much further in your spiritual journey by now. You should be growing in the Word, building your prayer life, developing your gifts and preparing for the assignment God has placed before you.
But every time you try to rise, you return to the same cycle.
Lust. Temptation. Sin. Guilt. Tears. Repentance. Then back to the same sin again.
And you are becoming comfortable with a lifestyle that is slowly destroying your discipline, your convictions and your intimacy with God.
YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT SEXUAL SIN CAN DO TO YOUR LIFE!
It can consume your time, enslave your habits, damage your relationships and distract you from the responsibilities God has entrusted to you.
You cannot keep feeding your flesh and expect your spiritual life to flourish without a fight.
You cannot keep entertaining the very things you are asking God to deliver you from.
Joseph understood this. When sexual temptation came, he did not stay to negotiate with it. He ran!
The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:18, "Flee from sexual immorality."
Some of you need to run from that relationship. Some need to block those numbers. Some need to stop watching pornography. Some need to leave environments that keep pulling them back into sin. Others need to seek accountability because the habit has become difficult to break alone.
Stop saying you want to be used by God while deliberately making room for the things that are destroying you.
And listen carefully: I AM NOT SAYING THAT SEXUAL SIN IS STRONGER THAN GOD'S GRACE. I am telling you that you must stop using grace as an excuse to remain in bondage.
Jesus can forgive you. Jesus can restore you. Jesus can help you walk in purity. But you must be willing to repent and surrender every area of your life to Him.
You have been praying for your family. You have been asking God to raise you as a vessel of honour. You have been declaring that the patterns of the past will not continue into the next generation.
Then start with yourself!
Let the change begin with you. Let the discipline begin with you. Let the repentance begin with you.
YOU CANNOT CHANGE YOUR FAMILY'S STORY WHILE REFUSING TO ALLOW GOD TO CHANGE YOUR OWN.
Wake up! Your body belongs to God. Your life belongs to God. Your calling must never become an excuse for pride, and your struggles must never become an excuse to give up.
If you have fallen, get up and return to Jesus Christ. Do not allow shame to keep you away from the very Saviour who can forgive and restore you.
Your family needs your prayers, but it also needs to see the fruit of your transformation.
May you not lose years entertaining what God is calling you to overcome. May you not sacrifice your spiritual growth for temporary pleasure. And may you have the courage to choose obedience even when nobody is watching.
It is time to return to the secret place. It is time to take holiness seriously.
Jesus Christ is calling you to a life of surrender.
Will you answer Him?

The greatest reward of serving CHRIST is not that people recognise your labour. It is that your labour becomes an expression of genuine love for the One who first loved you.

What I find troubling about this kind of writing is the subtle elevation of a man into a category of his own, as though he and those defending him stand on one side with the truth while everyone questioning them belongs to a crowd motivated by malice. The language of persecution can become a convenient shield against accountability when every criticism is interpreted as an attack on God’s vessel. The irony is that the writer’s own language reveals the very posture he seems unwilling to recognize, presenting himself and his preferred circle as uniquely aligned with truth while portraying those who disagree as malicious, compromised, and incapable of recognizing it.
There is an unmistakable sense of superiority in the way they separate themselves from everyone else, speaking as though they belong to a special class of people uniquely entrusted with the truth while others are merely a crowd to be dismissed. Yet no preacher, writer, or self-appointed defender of the faith occupies a higher place before God than the cleaner serving faithfully in the most obscure local assembly. We are all servants, and every one of us will stand before the same God to give an account. Nobody is so anointed that his claims become exempt from examination, and nobody is so insignificant that his faithfulness matters less to God.
The truth isn’t more authentic because a prominent preacher claims to carry it, and a person does not become an enemy of truth simply because they question a preacher’s claims. If we truly believe in the authority of Scripture, then nobody’s reputation, spiritual experiences, ministry size, personal conviction, or years of service should exempt them from examination. We must be willing to apply the same biblical standard to everyone, including the people we admire, defend, and regard as vessels of God.
If we truly contend for the truth, let us examine the claims rather than automatically assigning noble motives to our preferred voices and malicious motives to their critics. Loyalty to a preacher must never be confused with loyalty to Christ, and defending a minister must never require making him untouchable. God does not need us to place His servants beyond scrutiny in order to defend His truth.
The greatest irony is claiming to defend the truth while adopting a posture that makes those who defend it appear superior to everyone else. We are all accountable to the truth; none of us owns it. We will all stand before God, not according to how highly we regarded ourselves or how many people regarded us, but as servants who must give an account of our lives and stewardship.
Dear Pilgrim,
It is a curious thing to watch a crowd assemble, not out of a shared love for truth, but out of a shared target. For months, those who harbour an axe to grind against “a clan” have waited in the shadows.
Now, at the slightest opening, they have jumped on the bandwagon, rejoicing in an occasion to malign, discredit, and accuse. Even those whose doctrinal diseases, immoral and questionable lives have felt the whip the Truth, driving them out of the temple have jumped on the unfortunate train. But as the scripture reminds us, a house built on malice cannot stand; there is no honour among thieves.
The hypocrisy is glaring. Despite glaring evidence that the focus has always been corrupted doctrine, immorality and malpractices within the church, those who once bore false witness and criticized “The man from Warri” for addressing trending matters and speaking on the state of the Church have now made another preacher their topic of conversation. Everyone suddenly has an opinion; everyone has become a commentator. Yet, despite their desperate attempts to dig into history and pin a damning matter on the voice of one, they find no hidden sin, no moral failure, and no compromised altar.
So, in their desperation, they weaponize the frailties of human memory. They began by viciously attacking his statement on Nigeria as a nation of revival. When it failed, they moved to picking apart the fine details of his personal spiritual encounters, trying desperately to label him as extreme or a liar. Scripture and human experience both testify that when a witness recounts a profound encounter over many years, minor details or peripheral aspects may be remembered differently without invalidating the core event. David’s recollections of God’s deliverances were defined by the weight of the glory, not by an exact transcript of secondary details. Forgetfulness of minor specifics over time is a human reality; it is not a testament to deceit.
There is no place where the voice of one has presented his encounters as doctrine, but as pieces of the puzzle to explain the organic side of our salvation and help the ardent seeker through the maze of spiritual understanding.
However, the digging continues! They say “preach Christ and not men or self” but hypocritically spend sermons and pages of human writing doing the very opposite.
Yet, the posture of men like “the man from Warri” remains non-negotiable. Contending for the faith and crying out against doctrinal corruption, spiritual lawlessness, and compromise in the Church is not a popular job, but it is a necessary one. When the watchman blows the trumpet, he is rarely loved by the city, but his silence would be betrayal.
If this was meant to send out a warning or threat of “retribution” it has failed woefully. We say like Paul said to Agabus “What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus." No retreat, no surrender. For this cause were we born!
No matter how deep the hands of Esau, hidden behind the voice of Jacob dig, they cannot undermine a vessel that God Himself has upheld. The voice crying in the wilderness cannot be silenced by bad-faith commentary.
We will continue to stand, unashamedly pointing the Church back to the ancient paths, because our allegiance is to the Truth and not the approval of the crowd.
May they that read understand!

We don't pray to change the mind of God, we pray to conform to the will of God. Prayer doesn't change God, it changes us.

One of the most important decisions you will ever make in life is choosing who you marry.
If you marry the wrong person, it can affect almost every other area of your life. Believe me, your peace, emotions, thoughts, decisions, and even your relationship with God can be affected.
You may find yourself fighting battles you never imagined, feeling trapped in a situation you don't know how to escape. You'll be trying your best, but nothing will feel satisfying. You will suffer! In short, your life will become a complete mess. Don't say I never warned you!
Marriage is beautiful, but marrying the wrong person can be painfully exhausting.
May the Holy Spirit lead every single person on this page as you make this decision. Don't just fall in love; seek God's direction. Don't be so desperate to marry that you ignore the things God is trying to show you.
Marriage is sweet, but it can also be incredibly painful when you get it wrong.
May God give us the wisdom and discernment to choose well. 🙏🏽

I am so passionate about talking about PURITY because I have been a victim of sexual immorality myself. I will never stand here and tell you that it is a good thing.
You can spend 30 minutes or one hour with a woman who is not your wife, thinking you are having fun and enjoying life. You experience temporary pleasure, but you may not realise the emotional, spiritual, and relational consequences of the choices you are making.
Even if you use condoms, as I did, they can reduce the risk of pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, but they cannot protect you from every consequence of your choices.
You can masturbate and ejaculate, thinking it is normal and harmless, without realising how compulsive sexual habits can affect your mind, your relationships, and your spiritual life.
I have fornicated. I have masturbated. I have watched pornography. I was trapped in that cycle for a very long time. It was a prison I struggled to escape from.
Do you know what it means to sneak out of school because you want to be in the arms of a woman? Looking back, I ask myself, what kind of bondage was I living in?
But today, I can testify that God has delivered me from sexual immorality and the bondage of lust. I am not sharing this because I have never struggled. I am sharing it because I know what it means to struggle, and I know that freedom is possible through Jesus Christ.
If you are reading this and battling lust, pornography, masturbation, or sexual immorality, please do not give up on yourself. You are not beyond the reach of God's grace. You can be free. You can begin again. Your past does not have to determine your future.
Young people, if you are still virgins, protect your purity with everything you have. Do not allow peer pressure, curiosity, temporary pleasure, or the desire to be accepted to push you into decisions you may later regret. Your body matters. Your future matters. Your relationship with God matters.
Sexual immorality can bring painful consequences into people's lives, including broken relationships, emotional struggles, unhealthy attachments, and spiritual distraction. Some people enter marriage carrying patterns of sexual behaviour and unrealistic expectations formed before marriage. Instead of learning to love and be satisfied with their spouses, they continue seeking satisfaction outside the marriage.
This is why we must talk about purity before people get married, not only after their marriages begin to experience problems.
Let me give some advice to those preparing for marriage.
If you have been sexually involved with multiple partners, take time to heal, repent where necessary, establish healthy boundaries, and allow God to work in your heart. Address unhealthy emotional attachments and patterns from previous relationships. Seek godly counsel if you need help. Do not carry unresolved wounds and destructive habits into marriage and expect your spouse to fix everything.
People often call these attachments soul ties. Whatever language you use, it is important to understand that past relationships can leave emotional wounds and unhealthy patterns that need to be addressed. You do not have to live under the influence of your past.
And please understand this: your past does not automatically condemn your marriage to failure. In Christ, there is forgiveness, healing, restoration, and the grace to build a healthy relationship.
The same God who delivered me can help you too.
You do not have to remain in that cage. You do not have to keep returning to the same sin. You do not have to allow lust to rule your life.
Jesus Christ still sets people free!
“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” — John 8:36 (NKJV)
PURITY IS POSSIBLE. FREEDOM IS POSSIBLE. RESTORATION IS POSSIBLE.
May God raise a generation that does not just talk about Jesus but also pursues holiness, honours God with their bodies, and refuses to be enslaved by temporary pleasure.
You can be free, in Jesus' name.

the recipe for marrying a Great Person:
—Great character
—Great genetics
If you don't have both, your chances plunge significantly. But if all else fails, have great character.
Women have been psy-op'd by the internet that beauty alone can get them a great person but great people invariably have access to beauty.
Maturing is realising that, you can't just serve God however you want, you have to serve him according to his instructions.
We exist for God and not him for us. God doesn't exist for us. We must come to accept this truth and align our lives to fit into his perfect will for life.
The answer is actually quite easy, when you understand what prayer and fasting does and the principles that govern the material world
I’m confused small
“If our God we serve sees and knows everything! I’m sure he sees when we go through very tough times right? He has us at heart too right? So why must we fast and pray to Him that sees and knows everything before our problems can be solved?”
I mean he sees it all, and knows deep in our hearts what we need right? Why doesn’t he just do it but demand we pray to him first before he gives us a solution?
