Most of the big futures prop firms still restrict Nigeria. Topstep, Apex, MyFundedFutures, Lucid and several others do not take Nigerian residents, or only do so on limited products. Those are the firms where US traders commonly stack several $50k–$150k accounts into high six-figure or low seven-figure allocations. Nigerian traders are mostly on the CFD side: FTMO, The5ers, FundingPips and similar, usually $10k–$200k per account, with a lower combined cap and harder payout rails. A dollar CFD account is still a dollar account. It is just a smaller, more restricted one. The fee math is also in dollars and still bites harder. A $100k evaluation is often $400–$600. Industry figures on prop accounts put the share that ever receive a payout near 7%, and the typical payout near 4% of account size. US traders can more easily buy the second, third and fourth attempt, and run several accounts at once, because that fee is a small slice of income. Same dollar price, very different share of what you earn outside trading. So trading a dollar account means your good months are real USD. It does not mean you have the same funded size, the same futures allocation, or the same ability to keep repurchasing accounts after the ones that fail. That is the actual gap, not the currency the platform displays.
