I think the real experiment in @alchemifydotfun Lab isn’t the alchemy.
It’s the people.
Give hundreds of people the same 4 elements and the same rules, and they won’t all play the same way.
Some will brute-force combinations.
Some will look for patterns.
Some will document everything.
Some will watch what others discovered and build from it.
And eventually, the community starts producing knowledge that wasn’t sitting in the game when it launched.
That’s when a game becomes more than something you play.
It becomes something the players collectively build on.
Two contests already showed the first signs of that.
Now I’m curious what happens when the Lab opens for real.

A game gives you a reason to stay.
That’s the part I find interesting about @alchemifydotfun.
$ANSEM isn’t sitting outside the experience as something you simply watch on a chart. The Lab gives the ecosystem a place where people can actually do something experiment, discover, compete, create and get rewarded.
And the more I think about it, the more important that distinction becomes.
An ecosystem doesn’t become alive because it has more announcements.
It becomes alive when people start creating their own reasons to come back.
That’s the experiment I’m watching with the Lab.
