Sometimes I read a quote, caption or story about domestic violence and think this couldn’t possibly be right. A horrific example of apportioning blame to the victims response to a perps behaviour. #abusersworld #fuellingthefire

Never before have I experienced fatigue so severely that I couldn't actually speak or a jaw that got sore from eating cereal. It will make me a better doctor. Needs to be better taught at medical school too. Hard to teach something that we don't know how to manage though eh? 2/2

I have to be honest, it's only because I've got #LongCOVID that I only now get the whole fatigue thing. I felt sympathy for #CFSME pts, now I have empathy. Never realised how much just even using your brain could wipe you out. 1/2

Thank you to every victim who has shared their horrendous experiences of the #familycourts with us. I will be taking those voices to the Lords so they understand that the #dabill must go further to protect those being abused & re-traumatised by our family court proceedings.
DA Bill passed yesterday after years of work by campaigners like @Dontlookback198 & @sammywoodhouse1 We thank them all, but wake up this morning still with more to do. @LouHaigh @peterkyle and I are pleased with changes made so far to family court but there is still more to do.

Long awaited #familycourt review has been published & I am pleased that voices of survivors of domestic abuse & their children, who have been minimised & dismissed for too long, have been heard. I’ll be discussing the Government’s plan to tackle these systemic failings @BBCNews
#FamilyCourts are changing to provide more protection to children & victims of #DomesticAbuse & other serious offences This includes better access to safe, separate spaces in courtrooms & stopping abusers re-victimising or coercing ex-partners into court gov.uk/government/news/major…
