I genuinely had no clue the new Call of Duty was releasing this week.
Meanwhile, a decade ago it was the biggest day of my year.
Crazy how things change
People will look you dead in the eyes and tell you a game with shit gameplay that’s charging nearly $7 for a pair of virtual shoes doesn’t need any changes…

SMH 2 years in a row I claimed #1 in my state in #NBA2K27 I got sent to the Gulag for a reason I do not know. Only thing I’m guilty of is supporting a sorry ass dying franchise. This dunk simulator is ass anyway. @Beluba done nothing but pay your rent and give you feed back on your god awful decision making. #SaveTheGame
@Beluba @Ronnie2K @NBA2K @2k @2KSupport @itsEvanCC you all need to get fired.

8 days ago @NBA2K banned legit players in #NBA2K27 , many who spent hundreds of dollars on the game. No statement has been made and no bans have been lifted. Any human being who reviewed my gameplay and my account specifically cannot find a break in TOS because it simply doesn't exist. Taking our money and our accounts for something we didn't do is theft. @Beluba @Ronnie2K @LD2K @itsEvanCC @2KSupport
Reports coming in that players are receiving an update on the ban wave 9/24 via 2k support. Both have gotten a template response with no actual reason why they are not getting unbanned. Shooting 30%. Something ain’t right here. #NBA2K27 @NBA2K @Beluba @Ronnie2K @2KSupport @2K @LD2K @itsEvanCC

Are False Bans Possible on 2K27?
Short answer: yes, on console they're possible.
A Zen, a Cronus, a script and a player with a very steady release all show up the same way: button presses and timing. Nothing in that data says "device" on it.
So a console ban has to be a judgment call. Does this timing look human or not?
Any judgment like that will be wrong some of the time. Set the bar loose and cheaters slip through. Set it tight and you start catching real players who are just very consistent.
The retroactive part raises the stakes
Bans going back to August 26 means 2K didn't catch people in the act. They went back through weeks of stored history and judged it all at once.
That's good for catching cheaters who thought they got away with it. It also means every unusual but legit player got run through the same filter in one pass. If the filter has a blind spot, a sweep like that is where it shows.
What the game's own settings tell us
Inside the shooting settings there's a small group of values with "AntiCheat" in the name. One of them is a shot delay. Once a player has taken at least six shots and is hitting 80 percent or better, the game can add up to two frames to the release. That's about 33 milliseconds.
It isn't a ban, and it doesn't flag your account as far as we can tell. But look at the trigger. Six shots at 80 percent is a normal hot stretch for a good shooter.
So the one anti-cheat rule we can actually read treats strong play as worth a second look. That doesn't prove the ban system works the same way. It does show how the game thinks about suspicion: it goes by results.
On console, the anti-cheat can't see the cheat. It can only see results, and it has to decide from there. That catches a lot of cheaters, and it can also catch someone who did nothing wrong. We still want the bans. We also think 2K should say how appeals work and how many get overturned.
Example: Take 100,000 console players, assume 2% cheat and the detector catches 90% of them (1,800 correct bans). The made-up variable is how often it wrongly flags a clean player

I will continue to voice my situation of being falsely banned on #NBA2K27. No creator has publicly brought this up. This situation has no real traction and the situation is very real. I will be the voice for those who were falsely banned as I was. No statement from @NBA2K or anyone on what’s happening. Real people spent real money and got their account taken away with no explanation as to why. We will continue to tweet and raise awareness of this situation. @Ronnie2K @Beluba @itsEvanCC @LD2K
