Our #FridayFavorite this week comes from the Chorus of The Train. This week we decided to post a video clip rather than a still image as we really love our video for this song. We hope you enjoy, and thanks for engaging with our Friday Favorite posts. #lyricvideo #trains #music

We received this very kind comment yesterday from a listener on a streaming radio site. We are grateful, and in light of yesterday's world events 🌎💣🌍 we thought we'd post it in case anyone else besides us is 😔. Also, flowers because...well you know, spring.

In a dream I went for a walk and was dreaming. 🌼💜 #dreaming #purpleflowers #dandelion #findingbutterfliesmusic #natureismymuse #spring #inspiration

Random photos but only four because, you know...X. #randomphotos #findingbutterfliesmusic

Two photos from 2025 on the first day of 2026 - the larger one because three jigs in one is so much fun, and the smaller one because, doesn't everyone wear red pants when playing whistle? Happy New Year to one and all! 🙌☮🦋 #findingbutterfliesmusic #rehearsal #whistle

As I look back at 2025 I am grateful for the many opportunities I had to play, which included two last minute performances on Christmas Eve. Sadly my calendar also highlights two incomplete Finding Butterflies projects. Still, the heart & the coming year must have hope, right? 💜

Sat in with a fun group last night on a few tunes. More of a sing-a-long than anything else, the night reminded me of this quote. Bonus: An Irishman came up to me at the end of the night and said I played very well. Day made. ✌🏻☘️🇮🇪 #findingbutterfliesmusic #musicianlife

So lucky to be getting calls for independent Irish whistle gigs. This also seems a good time to introduce everyone to my new C wide bore penny whistle, on the right. Like my D whistle, on the left, it's made out of mopane and gets the most delicious sound. Made by Chris Abell.

Many thanks to Oli, Radio TFSC , and listeners for the continued support. We are grateful to be included on this very fine radio station. 🙌💜

Playing two services on 3 instruments this morning. 🙌💕 African Blackwood flute and mopane whistle by Chris Abell. Alto Flute by Muramatsu. #flutes #whistlebloweralert

It is true most of our activity since Fall 2023 has been focused on other collaborations, however we have been writing, & in fact have 10 new songs in our recording queue which will have more of an acoustic feel to them. So, that's what's happening butterflies. Stay tuned. 🎶🦋

A few snaps from April-July. I love my students and the people I perform with. NYC. 6 Broadway Shows plus Count Basie. Retrofret was brilliant! See guitar post from June. And 2 our 4 nieces in Virginia. The Family Dinner Playlist was epic! #ensembles #NYC #family #nieces
