Ellie set a fresh napkin on the bar before easing the glass down onto it, then slid the drink across with a steady hand. “I can’t speak for his schedule,” she said evenly, her tone polite. “But I can check with my supervisor @IcebergLadies and see if he’s available.” >>

Ellie offered a soft smile as she tipped the shaker, a luminous blue ribbon spilling into the glass. “We usually call him Mr. Cobblepot here,” she said politely. “He’s doing well, from what I’ve seen. This your first time here?”

“My I interest you in a glass?”

“Nice choice.” Ellie reached for a crystal stem, giving it a quick polish before setting it on the bar. The red settled into the bowl with a soft swirl as she poured, careful and precise. “How’s your night going so far?” she asked, sliding the glass forward with an easy smile.
