During his Makerfield campaign Andy Burnham said 100% of Government spending would go on Social Housing.
2 weeks ago he had reduced that to 60%.
Today he said it will be 40%.
So you are mostly funding Private Housing being built for Private profit.

Andy Burnham has just announced that he will repeal Margaret Thatcher’s ideological ban on public ownership of water companies. This is good news, and a sign of just how intensely this government is feeling the pressure from the public.
But this means absolutely nothing if he does not then bring water into public ownership.
Instead, Burnham’s speech doubled down on regulation as a way to fix the crisis in our water system.
This is doomed to fail. When water companies are fined, they pass them on to us. When bonuses are banned, they call them something else.
Burnham has an open goal with Thames Water. The company is insolvent. And the only option to keep it privatised is to hand it over to US hedge funds. Yet Burnham has failed to take them on today.
Andy Burnham must take Thames Water into special administration and keep it in permanent public ownership. And he can use legislation to make it easier to bring other water companies into public hands when they continue to fail to deliver.
It is time for a water system that truly works for us. Public ownership of water now. Nothing less will do.

The US sold the war on Iran based on a single lie concocted by Israel for decades.
Despite Iran agreeing to surrender its entire stockpile of enriched uranium and allow full IAEA inspection, Washington rejected the deal and bombed anyway. They calculated they would "finish the job" in three days. Eight months later, they have achieved nothing but destruction.
Oman’s Foreign Minister revealed exactly what was on the table when the bombs fell:
🔴 Iran agreed to zero accumulation and zero stockpiling of enriched material.
🔴 All existing stockpiles would be down-blended to natural levels and irreversibly converted into fuel.
🔴 Full, comprehensive verification by the IAEA would be implemented immediately.
As the Omani FM stated: "If you cannot stockpile material that is rich, then there is no way you can actually create a bomb."
Iran warned repeatedly before February 28, 2026, that it did not want this war. It knew the cost of facing unchecked imperial power. It knew the economic devastation that would follow.
Yet the US chose to bomb a nation that had already laid down its cards for peace.
