Honestly i know its not the point of Mario to have good lore and story but i kinda wish it did because i feel like the characters and world are interesting enough and they can definitely do more with it. At least you can still rely on the RPG's for a decent story though.

I'm surprised people care about Mario lore. The story is truly absolutely trash. Every game is just the same thing, ending with the Bowser kidnapping the peach and making a new castle and repeat. "We have studied the Bowser and this time it'll work! Oh no it didn't work!".

Also love how the RPG's care more for the characters, Bowser is so much more interesting as a character in those games than anywhere else lol
