Having a background in law enforcement, once a perpetrator enters their vehicle , that vehicle becomes a weapon. Yes, police are allowed to have their guns drawn at that point. Okay #1, she disobeys law enforcement commands to exit the vehicle. And #2, she puts the car in reverse and almost hits the first officer who approaches her( at that point, they could’ve lit her up) And third: she proceeds to drive off using the baby as a shield to get away ( not locked in car seat ). At that point, she’s endangering the child, proceeds to runaway and police have a right to intervene and the shooting is justified. She had several options and chances to surrender. Even if she hadn’t stolen anything it doesn’t give her the right to flee and disobey lawful orders.
