Its not just Obasanjo
Almost every highly successful and rich person I have known are maniacal in their approach towards work. that's why I don't believe in luck as a major factor in success
If you stay close to most successful people and watch their routines, you will know yourself that if you keep that routine up, you yourself will be successful
Sometimes it eats into their health and they live on drugs and small minded people will say its "spiritual price" Lol. these people mostly don't have a work life balance that why they are where they are
That's why I always ask myself this question "Joseph, are you ready to pay the price?"
Because its not cheap
Liyel Imoke, Former Cross River State Governor, describes his experience working with President Obasanjo.
They went on a trip to China and lodged in a hotel.
President Obasanjo would call him by 11pm, 2am, 4am and still be out for breakfast by 7.30am.
After that trip, he didn't want to lodge in the same hotel with Obasanjo again.

I think having a strong sense of self allows you to appreciate other people's individuality so much more

Blindly obeying ur parents is the clearest hallmark of intellectual mediocrity and a profound lack of courage. Eventually, u become a burden to urself and to them. An obedient son is the greatest liability a family can produce.
