He is a lame duck, and acting with impunity. He has conditioned the Congress aided by a complicit Supreme Court and the shadow docket to allow him to do anything under the guise of executive privilege. Something has to give.

We thought Mueller would expose him but Barr stepped in, or Jack Smith would indict him but Cannon stepped in, or Congress would impeach and convict him but McConnell stepped in, or the judiciary would stop him but SCOTUS stepped in. It’s up to us. #VoteBlueToSaveDemocracy

Hear us out: The richest person in the world should not be allowed to dump hundreds of millions to affect the midterm elections.
This is not a radical idea. We need campaign finance reform. wired.com/story/elon-musk-is…

It's been a good week for Putin. In recent days, Trump has:
* Struck a diesel deal lifting some sanctions
* Restricted Starshield for Ukraine
* Cut intel warnings of Russian missile launches against Ukraine for several days
* Canceled Lindsey Graham sanctions
* Demanded Ukraine dump Zelensky
* Absolved Russia for helping Iran fight the US
* Pushed Europe to resume buying Russian gas
One man in particular who knows the risk this President poses is also sounding the alarm bell. Will others in the cabinet or in Congress? Or will we proceed down this path of betraying the Constitution?

Authoritarianism. We cannot stand for this.

I’m not sure how we withstand the next three months -until the new Congress is sworn in (hopefully) - much less the next twenty seven! #RussianAsset

Not only did Chevron donate $50,000 to Bass reelection effort in the general, they donated another $20,000 to the Airbnb effort to reelect Bass in the primary. Chevron has only donated in favor of an LA mayoral candidate twice:
• 2022: Bass
• 2026: Bass
Over 100 environmental leaders have signed an open letter denouncing Chevron’s support for Karen Bass and condemning Big Oil’s attempt to influence Los Angeles elections.
It’s no surprise that one of the biggest polluters in LA County is supporting my opponent. Every local environmental organization has endorsed my campaign. As mayor, I’ll focus on climate resilience and emergency preparedness, expand park space, plant 100,000 trees before the Olympics, ban oil drilling within City limits, reduce dependence on imported water, and improve air quality.

It is truly amazing how quickly MAGA accounts supported buying energy from Russia and blaming Ukraine for diesel prices.
You are all a bunch of brainless, spineless parrots with no decency.

We’ve escalated from buying Russian diesel ahead of the midterms to throttling StarLink, threats to cutting off Intel and arms deals to straight up waiving sanctions against Russia.
It’s only been a week!

A massive TEXAS refinery shut down last year, taking 95,000 barrels a day of diesel capacity offline.
But Senator Lankford blames CALIFORNIA???
California didn’t CLOSE anything. Two private companies made business decisions that probably look like bad bets now, given soaring refinery profits.
Those refineries represented less than 2% of U.S. refining capacity — and only a FRACTION of that fraction was diesel.
Trump’s war in Iran has rocked global oil markets.
Stop playing games with the American people.
I’m a big believer in producing more American energy. California has closed two diesel refineries in the past year, affecting diesel prices and supply across the country. We need more domestic production, not fewer refineries. @POTUS is working to increase diesel availability and bring prices down.

Watching Alabama Democrats turn a few races competitive this cycle is honestly heartwarming. The idea of outrunning the status quo is about making an inclusive multi racial working class progressive populism. It works.
