hi, I do a lot + AI

I sometimes wonder how many businesses in Nigeria are profitable only on paper because we don’t properly account for the cost of unreliable systems Those things are part of the real cost of making anything in Nigeria

Location is an underrated part of creative strategy. Two people can want the same product for completely different reasons depending on where they live and what life looks like around them. We probably generalize customers too much.

I’m all for using AI aggressively during ideation and visualization, but don’t make the object/product itself look AI-perfect.

Technical execution is becoming cheaper > find something worth saying > understand why it matters > translate it visually > produce it quickly > put it in front of the right people

The mastery of organic geometry and structural design by ancient West African metallurgists is crazy.
Igbo-Ukwu Changed African History. Archaeologists discovered astonishing bronze works at Igbo-Ukwu dating back to the 9th century. The craftsmanship was so advanced that it challenged long-held assumptions about early African metallurgy.

No doubt Apple is practicing the Modern Evolution of Shanzhai. They just apply Apple-level refinement to already made products.

It’s the socioeconomic effect on dating in Nigeria. Thats why “have you eaten” has gone from a caring question to an opportunistic one to get an extra meal for the road.
Heated argument over the growing culture of begging in our society. The lady insisted that when a man calls a woman and asks if she has eaten, and she responds, “No,” it could simply mean that she has not eaten or that she is hinting at something she has been craving. According to her, this should not necessarily be seen as forcing the man to provide for her. However, the man insisted that many Nigerian women have a “collecting mentality” and expect men to provide for them.

We are We are We are Nigeria leaders, what has “we have” done to you guys?
We were out at the Olusosun dumpsite to inspect our waste management operations firsthand. I know the collection delays across Lagos over the past few weeks have been frustrating and seeing waste piled up is unacceptable. We are taking direct action to fix this. We are leveling and expanding access roads at our five major dumpsites so trucks can dump and turn around without delay. We have ordered 160 new compactors to strengthen our fleet and our development partners are bringing in extra heavy-duty equipment. We are restructuring LAWMA to ensure stricter oversight on the ground and we are working with the PSP operators to clean up their operations and ensure only capable and committed teams are on our roads. Looking slightly ahead, we are constructing two major Transfer Loading Stations at Olusosun and Solous 3, alongside Material Recovery Facilities in Epe and Badagry to modernize how we sort and recycle waste long-term. We are fixing the system from the ground up but keeping Lagos clean requires effort from all of us. Indiscriminate dumping on our streets will not be tolerated and environmental enforcement officers will arrest and prosecute offenders. We are on it and you will see the difference soon.

I don’t think filmmakers using AI are replacing traditional filmmakers. I think we’re creating a new independent film movement where people are making ambitious work without waiting for a studio, large budget or permission. There is something rebellious and exciting in that.

If you generate african subjects a lot, stop using buzzwords like photorealistic, ultra-realistic, or hyper-detailed. They push models to look like over-polished 3D renders.
