Generally, I never considered myself biased at work. As a social media manager, I just want the best results, highest viewership, and most impressions. That's the job. But there is one storyline I REALLY want to tell today. So I'm hoping for a very emotional grand final in SLC.

🧵 Mount Rushmore is supposed to represent four historical ages or foundational themes - not just “the GOATs,” whatever that would mean in this context. So here’s my take: Birth - BoxeR Growth - Fatal1ty Development - Flash Preservation - Faker

(Preservation) Faker is still carrying the torch after more than a decade. His achievements are now unrivaled, and his impact on the entire industry is immeasurable. The golden age of esports took place under his reign - and I bet he’ll stick around until the next renaissance.

I know this is just a fun little popularity contest, but personally, whenever I hear “Mount Rushmore,” I hate how many people miss the actual concept behind it.

A bit of BTS lore 🧵 (1) Right before the showmatch, @BikiniBodhi told us he wanted to take a selfie during the match to make fun of the opposite team, and we asked him to use our phone instead and post directly through the R6Esports account.

(4) We were watching the chat closely - hoping it would be shown on stream - ready to immediately pull the trigger on the setup tweet. People were clearly confused, but the payoff arrived exactly four minutes later.

(5) The selfie got hundreds of likes within seconds, as people watching the stream immediately checked their feeds. It was a completely spontaneous, random, and dumb idea, but it worked just perfectly 👌 And that's why doing live social media coverage can be so satisfying.
